Brower Butch Dellinger, II, 74
Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Brower “Butch” Dellinger, II, 74, of Prichard, Idaho, passed away April 18, 2017 at the Kindred Nursing & Rehabilitation- Mountain Valley of Kellogg, Idaho. He was born March 3, 1943 in Grass Valley, California; Butch was the son of Brower and Jane (Parsons) Dellinger, I.
Butch had lived in Wallace in the early 1950’s as a young boy and had attended the Wallace Elementary. He later moved, attended and graduated from the Vermont Academy of Saxtons River, Vermont. Butch then attended the Syracuse University of Syracuse, New York.
Butch moved back to the Silver Valley in 1970; he had such wonderful memories here and to Butch, this was the happiest place growing up.
Butch married Dixie Hansen on September 10, 1983 on Botch Mountain of Silverton, Idaho.
Butch had first worked for Mine Safety at the Bunker Hill Mining Company. He then became owner and operator of Custom Remodeling for twenty-five years, before his retirement.
Butch was a member of the Wallace Elks Lodge #331 and a member of the Board of Trustees for the Idaho Ski Club.
Butch so loved and enjoyed his family, hunting, fly-fishing, camping, horseback riding, antique cars, driving and making creations out of antlers. He so enjoyed the mountains of Idaho and Montana. Butch was also a wonderful cook.
Butch is survived by his beloved wife Dixie Dellinger of the family home of Prichard; four children Todd and Shannon Dellinger of Silverton, Idaho, Stephen”Randy”and Kathy Dellinger of Silverton, Idaho, Terry Dellinger of Prichard, Idaho and Matthew Dellinger and Melissa Reed of Athol, Idaho; a daughter-in-law Ann Wilkes of Wallace; eleven grandchildren Michael and Chalon, Stephanie and MJ, Jon, Jake, Christian, Miranda, Christopher and Cheryl, Trina and Jason, Stephen, Jr., Owen, Jamie; seven great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog Luke. Butch was preceded in death by his parents, his mother and father-in-law Carl and Artie Hansen and his beloved dog Harley.
A Celebration of Butch’s Life will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at 3:00 P.M. at the Wallace Elks Lodge of Wallace; everyone is welcome.
