Fred Leo Uhl

Fred Leo Uhl passed away of natural causes on April 29,2017.

He was born on June 27,1936 to Lloyd and Ida Uhl. He was survived by his loving wife Claudia of 37 years, daughter Teresa Bjork (Jim) of Baker City, OR. Bill Uhl (Debbie) of Nampa, ID. Lester Uhl(Heather) of Meridian, ID, Stepchildren, Marlene Kingsley (Michael) of Boise, ID. Tony Cartwright of Middleton, ID. Bill Cartwright of Eagle, ID.

A sister Barbara Campbell (Bill) of Newport,WA. A brother Richard Uhl(Linda) of Pahrump, NV. As well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Fred was born in Rapid City, SD. moved to Wallace, ID when he was 4 years old. He graduated from Wallace High school. After graduation he worked at the Golconda Mill. In 1959 he moved to Grandview, ID. Where he worked at the school district, he also lived in Brunea, Oreana, Meridian and Caldwell prior to settling in Middleton. Fred worked for Wright construction for several years. He then spent over 30 years at Caldwell transportation as a school bus driver and Diesel coach driver. He enjoyed transporting students to and from school as well as sporting events. He especially enjoyed driving many miles with College Of Idaho baseball Team.

Fred was a happy, go lucky guy who never met a stranger and had a heart of gold. Per Fred’s request there will be no memorial service at this time however there will be a gathering at later date.

He will be remembered lovingly by family, friends and all who knew him.

The family wants to thank Best Home Care & 1st Choice home care as well both Meridian and Boise St Luke’s for the outstanding care that he received.
