Silver Mountain open for skiing, biking Memorial weekend

KELLOGG — For the first time ever, Silver Mountain Resort will be opening for skiing and biking at the same time.

With plenty of snow at the top of the mountain and 80 percent of the bike park trails cleared and in tip top shape, Silver will be loading skiers and bikers into the gondola Saturday and Sunday.

This will be a partial opening of the resorts award winning bike park, recently ranked #1 in the Northwest for the third year running.

With 3,400 vertical feet of descent, riders will have plenty to keep them busy.

In addition to Skiing and snowboarding being open in the Chair 2 Basin, there will also be live music at the mountain house with Sammy Eubanks playing on Saturday afternoon and 10x10 playing on Sunday afternoon.

Biking and scenic gondola rides will be running Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

The weather is looking amazing for this special weekend, so come out and enjoy great snow, perfect bike trails, live music, and maybe some surfing.
