Phase II of the Kellogg Sewer Rehabilitation and Replacement Project continues. Sewer work on Brown Street is nearly done. Work will shift to installing water line in the near future. Survey crews and utility companies are marking Cameron Avenue in preparation for moving into this area next. Prior to beginning to excavate, those businesses that will be affected will be contacted. Every effort will be made to maintain access to the stores in this area as work proceeds. Everyone is asked to be patient as the project moves through this heavily traveled part of town. More information on the project can be found on the City’s Facebook page.

The bid opening for Phase III of the Project is scheduled for Wednesday, May 31, 2017. If the project is awarded, work will occur this summer.

With school ending in the near future, everyone is asked to be aware of any children moving through work areas. Those living adjacent to active construction are asked to stay well away from heavy equipment. Safety is our first priority. Everyone is asked to do their part.

Anyone needing special assistance related to the project or who may have questions or concerns is asked to contact Mr. Craig Lewis, Superintendent of Public Works at (208) 786-9131. On weekends, holidays or after work hours you may contact Mr. Lewis by calling the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Dispatch at (208) 556-1114 and request they contact him for you.
