Douglas “Doug” Jay Bell, 63

Beloved husband, father, son, brother and grandfather, Douglas “Doug” Jay Bell, 63, of Wallace, Idaho, passed away May 27, 2017 at Kootenai Health of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. He was born October 29, 1953 in Wallace, Idaho; Doug was the son of Jay and Alma (Flatt) Bell.

Doug has lived in the Silver Valley all of his life. He attended and graduated from the Wallace High School in 1972. He then attended the North Idaho College completing his Plumber Journeyman’s certification.

Doug married Carole Graham on July 3, 1999 at the Kellogg Bowling Alley of Kellogg.

Doug played an active role in the family business - Bell Plumbing of Osburn for many years; he started helping with the business at the age of five- packing tools for his Dad, Jay.

Doug had played Santa Claus for many years for the Wallace Christmas Fund. He loved and enjoyed his family, ATVing, going for drives, camping, hunting and fishing. Doug was loved by many people; he was so willing to help anyone and was so thoughtful to many. Doug will be dearly missed by his beloved family and friends.

Doug is survived by his wife Carole Bell of the family home of Wallace; his daughter Aliza and Grant Seay of Rathdrum, Idaho; his parents Jay and Alma Bell of Osburn, Idaho; his sister Jaylene and Mike Grebil of Big Creek; his other daughter Traci and Steven Bush of Kellogg; a step-son Chris Graham of Texas; eight grandchildren Garth and Carson Seay, Jaydin, Kyla, Leevy and Matty Bush and Carley and Caylynn Graham; Doug is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Doug’s Life will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. at the Wallace Elks of Wallace; this will be potluck and everyone is welcome.
