•This is from the ‘it was on rant and raves so it must be true’ column- Kellogg Police Department will be absorbed by the Sheriff’s Department. Absolutely not true, but thanks for the chuckle.

•Mobile patrols of Kellogg and Wardner.

•Fire alarm at Kellogg Middle School (the actual building, not the elementary they are currently using). Other Agency Assist- Fire (not activated by a pull-station).

•Traffic stop Hill at I90 WB on-ramp. Verbal for equipment (mud flaps and fenders). What caught my attention was “rolling coal” at the intersection of Hill and Railroad. I am sure the pedestrian that was on the sidewalk wasn’t too happy. Advised them to find someplace else to do this (like the woods and not in town).

•Traffic stop Bunker/State Street- verbal for speed.

•Hill Street @ I90 EB off-ramp, female in a wheel chair having medical issue. Medical was called and took over. Refer to Other Agency.

•Evidence/Video work.

•Assist K77 with traffic stop- driver fled on foot. Searched area with negative results in locating subject. Passengers remained in vehicle and were cooperative. K77 handled as primary.

•Traffic stop at Hill Street Depot. Cleared verbal.

•Traffic stop in parking lot of Best Shots. Driver fled on foot. Passengers stayed in vehicle, gave me the drivers information. Driver later turned himself in. I cited for fleeing, DWP, and open container. Cited and released.

•Responded to a possible domestic, an adult female later admitted she called to report that he ex yelled at her earlier. I cleared unfounded.

•K71 was called to fraud investigation at Dave Smith Motors.

•K71 wants to thank K76 for washing P943 as it was looking like a vehicle from Mad Max (all dirty and grimy), but not cool.

•Traffic stop on Bunker and Hill, the vehicle was tied to reckless driving in the county- Cleared other agency assist.

•Patrolled Kellogg and Wardner.

•Welfare check on West Mission, after the welfare check was concluded it was found that the RP gave me the wrong address. Looking back the strange look the person on Mission gave me makes a lot more sense now. After getting the correct address everything was okay.

•Called to found narcotics on Cameron Avenue.

•Land line request for a vicious dog, dog was not in the city.

•Drive up parking complaint- explained the usage of public roadways.

•Mobile and stationary patrols in Kellogg and Wardner.

•Traffic on Silver Valley Road at 51 (East Cameron). Verbal for speed.

•Possible theft 300 block of E. Idaho- report taken for lost property.

•Assist county with courtesy transport back to their vehicle in Kingston- they took a ride on an ambulance with an in-custody.

•Roll-over crash on Alhambra- county took over as it was in their area.

•Assist K77 with DUI on Bunker Avenue in front of Silver Mountain.

•Noise complaint 300 block of W. Mission- found an adult male sitting in one of the construction vehicles with it running. Verified working with the crew by the RP of the noise complaint. Explained it was not a good idea to run the rigs at 0200 hrs. Call was placed and someone else took over babysitting duties. Peace restored.

•Assisted K-74 on lost property call on E. Idaho.

•Assist county on roll over on Alhambra road non injury. Cleared agency assist.

•DUI Bunker Avenue. Subject refused SFST and BAC. Cleared arrest.

•Called to W. Idaho for a person pestering someone else by turning his hot water heater on again. Cleared unfounded.

•Assisted K76 with domestic at 600 block upper third. Cleared agency assist.

•Went to Kellogg Middle School about two students who had broken windows in the old KMS building after school hours. Male juveniles were interviews and admitted to breaking windows. Cleared report taken and charges petitioned.

•Patrol of Kellogg and Wardner.

•Patrol of school zones.

•T-stop on Bunker Avenue by KMS for speeding. Cleared verbal.

•T-stop on Hill Street by Silver Mtn Ski shop for stop sign violation. Cleared verbal.

•Called to the 400 block of south division for questions regarding a recent dog incident.

•Patrolled Kellogg and Wardner.

•Traffic stop on Main Street and Market for stop sign- Clear verbal.

•While patrolling near the Amy Lynn Apartment’s I witnessed a man draw a fire arm and point it on the direction of what looked like the driver in the truck- after speaking with the parties involved he was simply showing the driver of the vehicle his new pistol. I advised him that it isn’t the smartest idea to wave a gun around in a public area- cleared no action taken.

•Called to Railroad Avenue for two suspicious males knocking on doors- cleared N.A.T.

•Traffic Stop on Hill St for stop sign violation- clear verbal.

•Hit and run incident reported from K72 to me- report taken.

•Landline request regarding the dog from previous call.

•Extra Patrol requested by walk-in, stated he had seen people climbing on and going into the old silver valley fitness.

•Citizen contact regarding stolen dogs not related to other dog call.

•Reckless motorcycle heading up Wardner. Found him on Sierra Nevada. RP from call came up and decided not to sign citation at this time. Motorcycle rider admitted to driving stupidly. He was done riding for the night and forced to walk the bike back down to his residence. Advised him he would no longer be allowed to ride until he could do so respectfully and with a registered motorcycle. He agreed and was very polite and cooperative. VERBAL

•Traffic stop W. Cameron/Price - verbal for stop sign.

•Citizen contact 300 block of Main Kellogg. Vehicle pulled away from library area and onto main with no lights. Rather than turning on the lights, the pulled into a parking stall. I made contact and smelled the odor of intoxicants. Intoxicated party in passenger seat, but field sobriety test was quickly run on driver to ensure safety. All checked out and sent on their way after inspecting vehicle with them as to why the automatic lights were not turning on. That part remains a mystery.

•Assisted a lost motorist get back on the freeway.

•Provided a courtesy ride from SMC to Shoshone Apartments.

•Called to battery after the fact. Victim was intoxicated and was unsure how he wanted to proceed. He kept saying he wanted to press charges then he would revert and say nothing happened. He called dispatch and told them he was bleeding everywhere... however there were no visible injuries and no blood. So with all of those factors combined I told him to sober up and fill out the statement provided if he wanted to pursue charges. Subject was not on scene. I cleared peace restored.

•Traffic stop at bunker and hill- large branches were about ready to fall out of his pickup, during the stop he secured the load and was on his way to the transfer station.

•Traffic stop at bunker and hill for stop sign violation- clear verbal.

•Reports.

•Follow up on hit and run, RP was glad I contact her as she had some questions.

•Patrolled Kellogg and Wardner.

•Assist County in Pinehurst with a combative subject.

•Assist County with same combative subject at SMC.

•Citizen contact at the pd regarding a warrant service.

•Traffic stop on Bunker Ave for stop sign violation- Clear verbal.

•Reports.

•6-2 SKOL.

•Arrested an adult Female on her felony warrant.

•Called to Fairbridge for robbery in progress. Arrived on scene and met with RP. Suspects left the area before my arrival. Two individuals wearing black hoodies and one had a low beanie. Cleared unfounded.

•Called to the vapor shop for suspicious persons (same descriptions that was given at Fairbridge). Met with an adult male and a couple of his buddies. They were using the WIFI at NIC. They claimed to have walked through the parking lot. but denied “robbing” Fairbridge. Cleared NAT.

•Called to W Riverside for unwanted person. Reported that there was a person sleeping in a tent in his backyard. Upon my arrival there was nobody in the tent and the tent was removed from the property. (across the alley where RP said it was at last night). Wind maybe?

•Worked on getting certified on lifeloc, fc20.

•While K75 was up at the Sheriff’s Office, call came out for county for a mini bike coasting from HICO to CONOCO. Said mini bike fled, crashed, its person took off on foot, crossed a river, ran up the hill. Said mini bike and said person was caught. Cleared other agency assist.

•Patrol of Kellogg and Wardner.

•Patrol of school zones.

•Parking citation 200 block Main Street, Wardner parked wrong way at curb.

•T-stop On Cameron and Elm for speed. Cleared verbal.

•VIN inspection 200 block Emerald Street.

•Received dog from H&W into the shelter.

•Assisted SCSO with attempt to locate suspect of Burglary. Cleared other agency assist.

•Extra patrol Wardner.

•Follow-up on hit and run from last week. Negative contact.

•Request for extra patrol up Wardner.

•Assisted County with ATL on burglary suspect. Negative contact.

•Courtesy transport from Cameron Conoco to Pinehurst.

•Traffic stop on Bunker Ave for speed. Cleared verbal.

•Patrol of Kellogg and Wardner.

•Patrol of school zones.

•48 hr tow notice on SUBURU BAJA on Riverside and Division. Vehicles abandoned.

•T-stop on Cameron into the safe under angel wings daycare for speeding. Cleared verbal.

•Patrolled Halloween.

•County Assist on freeway for vehicle fire.

•Halloween prep with K71, K73.

•Emphasis patrols during trick-or-treating times. Extra patrols in my sector of South Kellogg as well as Wardner. Handed out candy and turned on the lights for all the little ghouls and princesses. There were some other costumes as well.

•Unruly person(s) at Cameron Conoco - they were gone on arrival. Did not disrupt store, just customers. Attempted to locate without success.

•Trespassing 300 block of Chestnut - upon inspection, there was nobody in or around the residence. K75 located the “suspect” and ended up transporting him to friends’ house for the evening.

•Trespassing 300 block of W. Cameron – Unfounded.

•Called to 212 W Cameron Ave for trespassing. Cleared NAT.

•Assisted 1223 with traffic stops.

•Patrolled Kellogg and Wardner.

•Traffic stop on Bunker Avenue for speed, cleared verbal.

•Patrol of Kellogg and Wardner.

•Patrol of school zones.

•T-stop on Jacobs Gulch way for speeding on Cameron. Cleared verbal.

•Placed a 48 hr tow notice on a Honda Civic in the Broken Wheel parking lot off Riverside.
