By the time you read this, the final pave out for 2017 on Phase II of the City of Kellogg’s Road & Sewer Rehabilitation and Replacement Project will have been done.

Chestnut and West Riverside Streets, where excavated, were paved as well as some of Mission Avenue.

Work will continue in the area of Caledonia Avenue, Sunset and Howard Streets until winter shut down.

Crews will also be working along Mission Avenue finishing up sewer services and remaining water work.

Very soon now workers will begin final cleanup and preparing for winter shut down.

Dirt roads will be graded and covered with millings and grindings.

Unpaved roads will be maintained throughout the winter as required.

Phase III continues with work along the Rails-to-Trails West of Hill street.

Work will soon switch to cleanup and preparation for winter shut down in this area as well.

It has been a long and often difficult year with extended periods of rain and many days at or near 100 degree temperatures.

I want to thank everyone for your patience and cooperation with all of the detours, congestion and disruption.

I also want to thank all of the workers for their help and assistance with making it all work.

Please bare with us as we button everything up for 2017 and prepare for the winter months.
