Youth Endowment for Activities (YEA) varsity boys basketball jamboree at Wallace High School. Mullan High School (MHS) vs. Kootenai High School at 10 a.m. MHS vs. Lakeside High School at 11 a.m. Kellogg High School (KHS) vs. Genesis Prep at 12:30 p.m. Wallace High School (WHS) vs. St. Maries High School at 1 p.m. KHS vs. St. Maries at 1:30 p.m. WHS vs. Genesis Prep at 2 p.m.

Canyon Elementary Thanksgiving dinner and auction. Dinner at 4 p.m. and silent auction from 4 to 6 p.m. Live auction at 6 p.m. Carnival games/cake walk at 5:30 p.m. This is a community event that benefits Canyon Elementary by funding field trips, playground equipment, science supplies, teacher classroom support and much more.

SUNDAY, NOV. 19

Making Smart Choices about Medicare at the Osburn VFW Hall at 2 p.m. Four sessions, each with a different topic. Nothing to sell and free to attend. Kellogg planning and Zoning meeting at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.

Kellogg Public Library Family read week event from 5 to 7 p.m. at the library, 16 W. Market St., Kellog. Every child that participates will receive a new book. Fun, games, and food. Call 208-786-7231 for more information.

THURSDAY, NOV. 23

- Thanksgiving

Annual Turkey Trot at the Snake Pit from 8 to 11 a.m. Come with a donation of food or money for the food bank, get some morning exercise to whet your appetite for Thanksgiving dinner or sit back, relax and enjoy a Bloody Mary as you watch other people exercise! No registration. T-shirts can be ordered ahead of time to pick up at the Turkey Trot or ordered at the event for pickup the following week. All T-shirt profits will be donated to the Shoshone Food Bank.

Free Thanksgiving dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Real Life Ministries, 10 S. Division, Pinehurst. Reservations not required, but helpful. Contact Christy Jacobs 208-682-4944.

Story time at the Osburn Public Library from 11 a.m. to noon, 921 Mullan Ave. For ages 0-5. Singing, crafts, stories and snacks. Event reoccurs every Thursday.

Opening day at Silver Mountain Resort in Kellogg.

Live Music at the Snake Pit from 6 to 9 p.m. Johnny Alan to perform. Reservations are recommended.
