KPD Roll Call Nov. 21-28

| November 29, 2017 4:10 PM

•Assist medical with potential drowning - 100 block of E. Portland. Did not appear to be anything criminal in nature (medical issues). Subject was transported to SMC.

•Unwanted subjects at Best Shots - two males refusing to leave after being asked to several times. K75 and K73 handled.

•Called to Best Shot’s for 2 unwanted males refusing to leave. One was detoxed due to the fact that he wouldn’t just take a ride home and sleep it off. The other was given a ride home from K73.

•K73 gave a ride home to an adult male that had way too much to drink. He was unable to tell me his house address and was only able to tell me that his house had a red roof and it was up Burke. Well unknown to me, Burke is the red roof capital of the Silver Valley. So, while I was driving up and down Burke trying to find the right red roof inn, said drunk male decided that he did not feel well and got sick in the back of my patrol car. Now my car smelled real bad and he still could not tell me what house was his (Be a cop they said, it would be fun they said). Finally, he was able to point to a house with a red roof and said it was his. Not sure it was but at that time I was willing to take that chance.

•Accidental discharge of a firearm on Station Ave. RP shot himself in the foot while unloading his 30-06. Cleared report taken.

•Extra patrol on Emerald.

•Patrolled Kellogg and Wardner.

•Trailer, RV, Boat patrol.

•Mobile and stationary patrols of Kellogg and Wardner.

•Traffic stop 600 block of Bunker - verbal for speed.

•Traffic stop alley off W. Mill between Main and 2nd in Kellogg- verbal for speed.

•Traffic stop 200 block of E. Riverside - verbal for headlight.

•Unwanted subject @ Best Shots - subject was not unwanted, turns out intoxicated and they wanted to make sure he was not driving home. Family member came and retrieved him without issue - unfounded for unwanted subject.

•Possible domestic 300 block of W. Mission - NOT a domestic, intoxicated family member and something to do with a dog (I’m sure from that little bit of info you can guess who it was). Trespassed from the property and served a CPOR by County while on contact.

•Public assist at Yoke’s - employee with personal issues that ended up showing up at work. Spoke with both parties and one party was trespassed from Yoke’s. Public Assist/Peace restored.

•Patrolled Kellogg and Wardner.

•Talked to the same individual that K74 contacted last night.

•Traffic stop at the Bunker and Hill intersection for illegal right turn, clear verbal.

•Advised of possible 8004 driver on the freeway from passing motorist- information was relayed to 669.

•It was a little windy out today.

•Mobile patrols of Kellogg and Wardner - attempted to find downed branches/trees from all the wind. Only found a few branches in the Wardner area and removed from roadway.

•Suspicious vehicle at Silver mountain. Silver Mitsubishi Eclipse with dealer tag in window and appearing to have been wrecked (or involved in a crash). Upon arrival, vehicle was parked with nobody around. No temp sticker in window and looked nothing like it had been in a crash (missing a tail light cover is all). Ran the VIN and vehicle did not come back stolen. Silver Mountain will have to have removed as it is private property. Unfounded.

•Business alarm at Best Shots - checked building and all looked copacetic. As I was leaving, a key-holder arrived and the inside of the building was checked - Unfounded. Wind may have played a factor in showing a door was opened.

•Assist county 600 block of A St. in Pinehurst for unwanted subject. Upon arrival, they had made up and were preparing to have Thanksgiving Dinner.

•Possible DUI on I90 eastbound from 45. County caught up to vehicle and followed without finding driving pattern to initiate a stop. Unfounded and out of Kellogg by the time it was located.

•Multiple business and residential checks.

•Internet went down. K77 and K74 went up to the hillside to inspect line to see if it was cut or damaged again.... unable to ascertain one way or another as all looked to be in good order (we were unable to locate any severed or cut lines).

•911 hang-up at 15 Station Ave. at approximately 0230 hours. This is the tint shop for Dave Smith Motors (DSM). Bob from DSM security unlocked the door for us. I located two phones in the building and both of them came up as 210 N. Division for the 911. We cleared that building and the building that used to be Safeway. Both came up with negative results. Kind of a weird call, it was determined Casper the 911 calling ghost had called and no emergency existed.

•Mobile and stationary patrols of Kellogg and Wardner.

•Traffic stop E. Cameron and Thorn - verbal for speed.

•Citizen contact in IGA parking lot with a verbal warning given to a person driving suspended. Advised no more warnings and next time would be a trip to jail - said they understood and did not see the vehicle move for the duration of my shift (they actually adhered to the advice).

•Parking complaint 600 block of W. Riverside - spoke with the residence where a car was parked blocking a sidewalk (not on the sidewalk). Advised of the ordinance and explained no further warnings will be given. Car had been moved prior to this contact.

•No internet all day here for me till the very end of shift.

•Responded to a domestic in the 100 block of Mullan- Cleared peace restored, wasn’t really a domestic.

•Responded to the 100 block of E Portland for a possible overdose.

•Finished a report.

•SKOL 9-2

•Dog into pound.

•Released dog from pound.

•Bar checks, all was in order.

•Noise complaint at the Condos on W Cameron. Cleared verbal.

•Traffic stop on Brown St. for white light to the rear. Cleared verbal.

•Said farewell to K77 as he called out his final 10-42 of his career in Kellogg. Good luck down in Southern Idaho.

Be Happy, Be safe, Have Fun.
