Evelyn June Rose, 95

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, Evelyn June Rose, 95, of Silverton, Idaho, passed away October 3, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Society- Silver Wood Village of Silverton; Evelyn had resided at the Good Samaritan for fourteen years, she was very much loved by staff and residents. She was born January 14, 1922 in Mulberry, Kansas; Evelyn was the daughter of Thomas Franklin and Permial (Traver) Hendrix.

Evelyn attended schools in Kansas. She married Raymon Rose on March 8, 1946 in Picher, Oklahoma; Raymon passed away on September 24, 1993.

In her younger years, Evelyn was a seamstress in a factory in support of the war effort. She was a beloved wife and mother, who made their home special. Evelyn so loved and enjoyed her family, cooking, canning, crocheting, sewing and playing games.

Evelyn was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kellogg; She had taught Sunday school for many years as well as directed the congregational singing in the church.

Evelyn is survived by five children Mary & Eldon Hall of Hayden, Idaho, Dennis & Lynn Rose of Smeltervlle, Idaho, Bruce & Sophia Rose of Auburn, Washington, Tom & Judy Rose of Smelterville, Rayma & Jim Shields of Wallace; ten grandchildren Michael Brummett, Wayne Hall, Shawn Hall, Dawnell Prescott, Cynthia Rose, Allen Rose, Jennifer Rose, Robert Rose, Jody Rose and Kevin Rose; her beloved granddog Jake; eighteen great-grandchildren Grant, Lorna, Anna, Madison, Cooper, Samantha, Luke, Kiera, Abigail, Elianna, Erykah, Alyna, Haylee, Kelsey, Blake, Jase, Kole and Kyah; one great-great granddaughter Millie; Evelyn is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymon, seven sisters and two brothers.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of Kellogg with Rev. Kevin Prescott officiating. Interment will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery of Kellogg. A reception and a gathering of family and friends will be held at the Church following services; this will be potluck and everyone is welcome.
