SCSO: Pinehurst man killed in UTV crash

WALLACE — On October 16 at approximately 2155 hours, the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 800 block of Country Club Lane, Pinehurst, Idaho, for a single vehicle UTV crash.

The initial investigation indicated that the UTV was driving westbound within the 800 block of Country Club Lane when it likely swerved to avoid game crossing the roadway.

This action caused the UTV to leave the roadway and crash.

Occupants, Ricky McCorkle, 57, Pinehurst and Amanda “Mandy” Keller, 51, Pinehurst, were trapped under the UTV when rescue units arrived.

Both occupants were transported to Shoshone Medical Center for medical treatment.

Ricky McCorkle later died as a result of his injuries.
