KPD Roll Call Oct.10-Oct.17

•Vandalism at the Football field- report taken for spray painting on the back side of the concession stands.

•Evidence work and case follow-up (returning property).

•Citizen contact Railroad and Hill- complaints of motorcycles on the bike path during the day time. This usually happens around 1400-ish hours. Day/afternoon keep an eye out for vehicles using the bike path near Hill Street along the park area.

•Erratic driver reported Hill/Railroad area. Vehicle described as green Ford Ranger unknown plate. Checked surrounding area and spoke with potential witnesses. No ID could be made and vehicle could not be located. Extra stationary patrols were conducted in the area.

•Business alarm 300 block of W. Cameron- Bank alarm unknown location. Key holder arrived and building was cleared. Alarm was reset- False alarm.

•Property damage crash Hill and Mission. K77 handled the information swap (vehicle struck trailer parked alongside roadway).

•Agency assist Osburn- officer on traffic stop not answering status checks. Upon arrival, found he was assisting push an ATV about 3/4 of a mile to its destination.

•Suspicious person at Cameron Conoco. K77 was able to track the subject down this evening and contact was made. More of a welfare check rather than suspicious as nothing criminal was afoot.

•Checked on Best Shots as loud noises were coming from the back of the building. Mucking out the ventilation system with manager on site. Unfounded.

•Reports....that was fun having the system shut down while typing. After calmly rebooting and not punting the computer out of the office, luckily it auto-saved.

•Called to a report of a group of “kids” throwing rocks at silver valley tire. Upon arriving in the area, an adult female was in the middle of the road freaking out saying the kids ran towards Brown Street. K77 saw the kids that matched the descriptions and contacted them. They assured K77 that they were not throwing rocks and that she was already in the middle of the road “freaking out” when they walked past her. Judging what K77 observed, he believed that the kids story was the truer version. I searched the area and I didn’t discover any rocks or damage at Silver Valley Tire.

•Called to the bank on Cameron for a burglary alarm. Responsible showed up with keys K-74 and K77 cleared the building and determined it was a false alarm.

•Called to a suspicious male that was behind Cameron Conoco. Found individual that matched the description walking up S. Division. No crime was suspected and cleared contact.

•While on that contact K74 and K77 heard some strange noises coming from behind Best Shots. We investigated and discovered that a cleaning crew was cleaning the grease hoods. While we were there we scared the Best Shots manager.

•Traffic stop S. Division Wardner cleared verbal.

•Patrolled the dead streets of Kellogg

•Found a monster buck in the church parking lot on Cameron. K77 spent the last two days hunting and they came to town in the middle of the night to mock him.

•Patrols of school zones.

•Attempted 29 service on an adult male. Cleared negative contact.

•T-stop on Hill St and Railroad Ave for no front plate. Cleared verbal.

•Mobile and stationary patrols around Kellogg and Wardner. Sneak peek of what it will be like driving on paved roads again as paving has continued....its just a matter of time now until snow/ice cover it all up. Lots of stationary on the western side of Cameron due to raceway being nearly complete (there are still a few signs still up slowing people down).

•Traffic stop Oregon/Riverside- Verbal speed.

•Traffic stop Cameron/Short- Verbal headlight.

•Noise complaint- Amy Lynn’s, unfounded.

•Assist K77 with DUI crash on 100 block of E. Cameron.

•Report of a suspicious male at Fair bridge. Cleared UTL.

•Responded to a vehicle accident on E. Cameron Avenue. Ended up arresting an adult female for excessive DUI.

•Reports of the sky falling...But it just turned out that the internet was down.

•County assist in Kingston.

•Traffic stop on E Idaho- Clear verbal.

•Flagged down for a male not looking well walking down the road.

•Attempted 29 service on an adult male- negative contact.

•T-stop under I-90 overpass on Hill Street for stop sign violation.

•Traffic control during parade.

•Assisted K76 during a motorist assist up top Sierra Nevada.

•Patrol of Kellogg and Wardner.

•Patrol of school zones.

•Great to see the Wildcat Pride this week!

•Patrolled.

•Landline request regarding civil standby from yesterday on W Park.

•Civil standby on W Park again.

•Attempted traffic stop on N. Division, suspect fled on scooter. K75 followed for approximately 3 blocks. As K75 was terminating, he noticed the scooter didn’t come through the next intersection. He doubled back and the scooter was ditched, suspect fled on scene. Cleared UTL. Scooter was placed in KPD for safekeeping.

•Called to a panic Alarm on Cameron Avenue. When I made contact with the clerk and asked her if she had hit the panic button, she said that she might have and showed me a garage door opener like device and said that she was playing with it and did not know what it was. Cleared, unfounded.

•Called to the 300 block of Cameron Avenue for a bunch of people arguing. When I arrived, no one wanted to stay outside and play. Cleared Peace restored.

•Follow up on battery case from last week. Citation issued. Shortly after citation was issued victim came in and wanted to drop charges.

•SKOL

•Malicious injury to property. Someone cut the line for Suddenlink above Bunker Hill. This was the second time in three days. A Suddenlink employee saw the suspect and K76 followed foot prints for a while but lost the trail. If anyone knows of someone “scrapping” the old cable line on Browns Ranch please contact KPD.

•Called to Vergobbi Ave for prowler. Car alarm went off and owner called it in. Cleared UTL.

•Patrolled Kellogg and Wardner.

•Foot patrol on Main St, W Portland.

•T-stop in Silver Mtn parking lot for speeding. Cleared verbal.

•T-stop on S Division and 2nd St for no front license plate. Cleared verbal.

•Follow up call for K75.

•T-stop on I-90 westbound from the 49 on ramp for stop sign violation. Cleared verbal.

•Follow up work on a forged check case.

•Patrol of school zones as well as Kellogg and Wardner.

•Received calls about male subject with warrant on his location.

•Follow up on Suddenlink case.

•Called to Amy Lynn’s for a dog complaint.

•Called to I-90 East Bound for road rage incident. Cleared report taken.

•Called to 200 Block of Mission Avenue for disturbing the peace. Cleared peace restored.

•Patrolled Kellogg and Wardner.

•T-stop in best shots parking lot for speeding on S division. Cleared verbal.

•Dispatched to Trail Motel about a battery in progress. No charges were pursued and turned into more of a child custody issue. Child was released to her father. Cleared report taken

LL request regarding custody issues. Female explained her situation with her ex. I advised her to pursue a Civil Protection order.

•Call about a dog near uptown on S Division. Cleared UTL.

•LL request about possession of an abandoned vehicle.

•Spoke with store owner on Main Street about males hanging out in front of their store asking people for money or drugs. They requested extra patrol.
