Lola Jean Palmer, 83

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Lola Jean Palmer, 83, of Osburn, passed away on October 14, 2017 at The Schneidmiller House of Coeur d‘Alene. Lola was born on September 24, 1934 in Sacramento, CA; she was the daughter of Lenard and Livonia (Potter) Crocker.

Lola grew up in the Sacramento area and spent time living in Maryland, Coeur d’Alene and Hayden Lake. She was united in marriage to Marlin Palmer July 4, 1952 in Sacramento; they moved to the Silver Valley in 1977.

Lola was the owner and operator of Palmer’s Market. She was the first female mail carrier in the Sacramento area. She also worked in Real Estate at the time of her retirement.

Lola enjoyed crocheting, knitting, walking, fishing and going out to eat.

She is survived by her loving family, son Rocky (Valerie) Palmer of Osburn; daughter Vicki Palmer of California; sister Patricia Smith of Battle Creek, MI; grandchildren Rocky (Christina), Holly (Chris), John (Alexandra), Tiffany (Paul), Melissa (Iggy), and Melanie (Aaron); nine great-grandchildren and one on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother Loretta, her husband Marlin, sister Betty Crocker and brother Earl Crocker.

Cremation will take place and no services will be held at her request.
