Pinehurst City Council candidate: Jeremy Groves
Jeremy Groves is running for one of two open Pinehurst City Council positions and, if elected, wishes to build close working relationships with other city officials and the public.
He says he will be “making positive steps forward for what is best for the city where I have lived for almost 14 years and continue to raise my family.”
Groves is running against incumbent Nancie Burkhart and challenger Larry Yergler.
He has been married to Hilary Groves for almost 15 years, and he has a one son, Tanner, and one daughter, Isabel.
His education background includes graduating from Kellogg High School and from Idaho Peace Officers school.
Groves believes he is qualified for the position of city councilman because he has “experience in managing budgets” and “dealing with public.”
He also says he has “a good understanding of rules and laws” and a “good understanding on building and zoning issues.”
Groves says that “working together as a team and keeping the best interests of the city in mind during any process” will be one of his main priorities.
He currently works as a deputy with the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office and holds the rank of Captain.
