Wallace mayoral candidate: Lynn Mogensen
Lynn Mogensen, 52, is running for the position of mayor of the city of Wallace and has several priorities if elected.
Among the top, she promises to provide “equal and fair treatment for all of the citizens of Wallace.”
Mogensen is running against David Sherman for the open mayoral position.
Born and raised in the Wallace area and a graduate of Wallace High School, Mogensen is in a committed relationship with Dennis O’Brien and currently works with the United States Postal Service.
Her father owned and operated Mogey’s Distributing, her mother was a homemaker, and her three sisters also graduated from Wallace High School.
She has been on the Wallace City Council since 2004 and has held the position of Council President in the past.
Other achievements include being a member of Silverwood Good Samaritan Advisory Board, a volunteer and past board member of Shoshone County Search and Rescue, and two time Wallace School District booster of the year.
Mogensen says that as mayor, she will “complete infrastructure improvements” and “encourage everyone to participate in the positive forward movement of the city of Wallace.”
She believes that the keys issues pertaining to the position include “listening to the public” and “creating a positive residential and business environment.”
Overall, she wishes “to see Wallace move forward in a positive manner.”
