Orvil “Red” E. Miller, 73

Orvil “Red” E. Miller, 73, of Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away October 27, 2017 at the Shoshone Medical Center of Kellogg. He was born April 16, 1944 in Albany, California; Orvil was the son of George and Lolo (Butler) Miller.

Red attended and graduated from the Kellogg High School of Kellogg. In later years, he had also attended carpentry school.

Red married Nancy Brown on April 16, 1977 in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. Nancy passed away on January 19, 2017.

Red was a miner; he had worked for Fausett Mining Company, and various other mines in the Silver Valley and lastly, he had worked for the Bunker Hill Mining Company; Red retired in 2010.

Red loved and enjoyed fishing on Lake Coeur d’ Alene and working in his garage.

Red is survived by one step-son Steven Keller of Great Falls, Montana; three grandsons Jeremy, Jason and Mathew; one granddaughter Kaitlyn; two great-grandchildren; one sister Linda of Canada; and several nieces and nephews including Beverly Webb Long of Middleton, Texas; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law David and Cindy Brown of Pinehurst, Idaho; and sister-in-law Joan Swaner also of Pinehurst. Red was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Nancy, a step-son Randy Keller and two sisters Susie and Nita.

Cremation will be held and upon Red’s request no services will be held.
