08/29/2017

1426- Fire personnel responded to W Yellowstone in Osburn for a report of a structure fire. First in engine (E-111) arrived to find obvious signs of previous fire and a Good Samaritan actively spraying charred area with a garden hose. After a full 360 degree size up, fire looked to be fully extinguished. Crew removed ceiling around point of origin to confirm that there was no fire extension. Crew also removed gable siding to further conclude that fire was completely out. A ventilation fan was set up at the Charlie side of the structure, and positive pressure ventilation was established. Crew checked in crawl space to confirm no fire extension. Crew determined fire to be completely extinguished and turned scene over to law enforcement.

1816- EMS crew responded to E St. in Smelterville for a patient who had activated a life alert. Patient had accidentally pressed the button and there was no emergency.

08/30/2017

0215- EMS crew responded to Lower Rio Vista in Osburn for a patient not feeling well, crew treated and transported to SMC.

0624- EMS crew responded to Miners alley for a patient not feeling well. Crew treated and transported to SMC.

0711- Fire and EMS responded along with Rose Lake QRU for a vehicle accident with injuries at Mile Post 32 Eastbound I-90. While en route, was updated that it was non-injury. Fire then cancelled. EMS and Rose Lake continued to assess the patient. He did refuse transport.

0746- Fire and EMS crews responded to I-90 milepost 40 for a vehicle rollover accident involving three young men. One patient was taken to SMC with moderate injuries. All three men were wearing their seatbelts and lived to drive another day.

1003- EMS crew responded to SMC for a medical transfer of a patient to Kootenai Health. Patient was treated and transported.

1335- Fire crew responds to Alhambra Rd in Kellogg for a possible brush fire. Fire crews along with the help from IDL attempt to locate. False alarm.

1345- EMS crew responded to SMC for a medical transfer of patient to Kootenai Health. Patient was treated and transported.

1453- Fire and EMS responded to 411 Bunker for a male with an unknown illness. The patient was transported to SMC for treatment.

2328- EMS crew responded to the woodland park area for a patient with a leg laceration. Patient was treated and transported to SMC for further evaluation.

08/31/2017

0434- EMS crew responded to the Osburn area for a patient who was vomiting. Patient was treated and transported to SMC for further evaluation.

1626- Dispatched to male that had fallen on the sidewalk. Patient declined transport.

1801- EMS crews responded to the Osburn area for a patient seizing. Patient was treated on scene and transported to SMC for further testing and treatment.

1830- Dispatched to Bunker Ave. in Kellogg for female needing transport to the hospital. Patient was transported to SMC by ambulance.

1843- Fire and EMS responded to Lewiston Ave in Pinehurst for a patient with an airway obstruction. The patient was treated and transported to SMC for further care.

2020- Fire crews responded to the Rose Lake boat launch for a reported campfire. Campers were from another state and unaware of the burn restrictions. They were given information and assisted with extinguishment.

2246- Fire crews responded to a report of a suspicious odor in a residence on Main St in Pinehurst. The house and utilities were checked for gases and leaks with a meter and nothing abnormal was discovered.

2333- EMS crews responded to the Wallace area for a patient needing help with her breathing equipment. Crews were able to assist the patient with equipment so she could go to sleep comfortably and crews could be back to the station to go to sleep win win!

09/01/2017

0018- Dispatched to 411 Bunker Ave, Kellogg for a lift assist. Female was moved from taxi to her apartment.

0040- Fire crews responded to Pinecreek area for a report of an orange glow in the vicinity. Crews investigated up to the end of the road and did not find any signs of fire.

0044- Fire and EMS responded to Division St in Pinehurst for a patient sick with symptoms of nausea and vomiting. The patient was assessed and transported to SMC for further care.

1143- EMS responded to W Mullan in Osburn for a diabetic emergency. Crew treated and transported to SMC.

1445- EMS responded to W Cameron Avenue in Kellogg for a patient who had fainted. Crew was cancelled en route.

1448- Fire crews responded to Cameron Ave in Kellogg for a patient who had lost consciousness after donating plasma earlier in the day. The patient was treated and released with instructions to manage symptoms.

09/02/2017

0449- Female fell and needed help up on Idaho in Pinehurst. Helped her to her feet and cleared

0800- Dispatched to West fork of Pine Creek for an unresponsive patient.

Patient assessed, treated and transported to Shoshone Medical Center without delay.

0831- EMS crews responded to Division Street in Pinehurst for an elderly patient who had fallen, possible head injury. Patient was treated and transported to SMC by ambulance.

0834- Dispatched to S. Division St. in Pinehurst for a fall. Patient assessed and transported to Shoshone Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.

0958- Dispatched to Riverview rd. in Cataldo for a fire in the ditch. 2 fire engines respond and 3 personnel from District 2, along with Idaho Department of Lands. Fire put out and all fire personnel cleared the scene.

1144- EMS crews responded to Wallace Flea Market for male patient feeling light headed and dizzy. Patient was treated for slightly low blood pressure and high blood sugar levels. Transported patient to SMC by ambulance.

1330- Fire crews responded to the Silver Mountain parking lot for a couple who had locked their keys in their vehicle. Using a vehicle lock-out kit, their door was quickly opened. A tour of the fire truck was then given to the young kids.

1430- Dispatched to Main St. in Smelterville for a fall. Patient assessed and transported to Shoshone Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.

1453- EMS crews responded to Mill Rd. in Mullan for male patient who had fallen off his bicycle. Patient was treated and transported by ambulance to SMC.

2028- Dispatched for a medical standby in Pinehurst. No medical needed all fire personnel clear.

2353- EMS crews responded to the area of West Spruce in Osburn for seizure patient. Patient was treated and transported to SMC by ambulance.

09/03/2017

0144- EMS crews responded to the Metals Bar in Wallace for reported bar fight. One patient was treated being thrown through the front window of neighboring business. After trying to convince patient to be transported for possible stitches patient refused. Once patient was confirmed alert and oriented patient signed refusal form for transport and all units cleared, Scene turned over to law enforcement.

0343- Dispatched to Hawthorne for a fall. Patient assessed and transported to Shoshone Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.

0714- Fire and EMS responded to the Gondolier for a female with difficulty breathing.Patient was assessed and treated for a low blood sugar then transported to SMC by ambulance.

0837- EMS crews responded to Dobson Pass for head injury due to logging accident. Patient was alert and oriented and described the incident in detail. Based on heavy trauma and stable vitals, it was decided to Lifeflight the patient to Kootenai Health. Ambulance met Lifeflight crew at the Silverton field, where the Flight Nurse gave the patient some tough love and accepted the transfer of care.

1101- EMS crews responded to the Hiawatha bike trail for possible concussion. EMS crews found patient who said he was holding a flashlight in his mouth while trying to maneuver his way through the tunnel. Patient ran into the wall causing the flashlight to puncture through the pallet of his mouth. Patient was treated and transported to SMC by ambulance. Patient was in good spirits and stated he would never do that again.

1522- Fire and EMS crews responded to the area of 54 Silver Valley Rd for vehicle rollover. Somehow the vehicle magically disappeared when units went searching. All units canceled, returning to quarters, nothing found.

1549- EMS crews responded to East Portland in Kellogg for patient having seizures. QRU informed that patient had possibly ingested too much medication. Patient was treated and transported to SMC by ambulance.

1552- Dispatched to Portland for a medical. Patient assessed and transported to Shoshone Medical Center for further evaluation and transport.

1608- Dispatched to I-90 for a motor vehicle accident. Kellogg police on scene cancelled medical.

09/04/2017

1050- Fire crews responded to East Cameron Avenue for a report of a fire on the hill side. Nothing but A LOT of smoke was seen. The smoke was from fires in Montana and not from anything in the Valley.

1932- Dispatched to Woodland for a medical call. Patient assessed and transported to Shoshone Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.

2118- Dispatched to Riverview in Cataldo. Patient assessed and did not want transport. Patient signed release form.

09/05/2017

0137- EMS responded to Burke Rd. for a Female with chest pain and vomiting. Treated and transported to SMC.

0705- Fire and EMS responded to the Amy Lynn’s for a request for an evaluation by Law Enforcement. Patient was assessed and treated, then transported at her request to SMC.

1318- Fire crews investigated a call regarding a wild land fire on the hill to the north of Kellogg. No fire was found and all units returned.

2321- EMS responded to seventh street in Silverton for patient who was actively bleeding. Crew treated and transported
