Della Fay Bernhart, 87

Della Fay Bernhart, 87, passed away September 21, 2017 at Hospice House of North Idaho. She was born in Wardner , Idaho, on April 5th 1930 to Robert Glenn and Zelda M. (Upchurch) Reynolds.

She was raised in Cave Lake and attended Harrison High School. She met Melvin E Bernhart in Harrison and they were married November 5th 1947. They lived in the Kellogg area between 1968 and 1986. Della lived in Coeur d’ Alene prior to her death. She was a resident of Harbor Island for many years and enjoyed the many friendships she made there throughout the years.

Fay was a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, spending time with her beloved dog Lilly and taking care of her children, grandchildren and great-granchildren. She was very much loved and will be greatly missed.

Fay is survived by her children,Vicki (Mike) Rieken of Post Falls, Sheri (Jim) Boyer of Post Falls, Kevin(Robin) Bernhart of Albuquerque, NM and Keith (Stacie) Bernhart of Coeur d’ Alene.; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Fay was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert Reynolds, her husband Mel Bernhart, brother Theodore “Ted” Reynolds and her son Robert “Bob” Bernhart.

There will be a viewing on September 29th from 4 to 6pm at English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’ Alene. Funeral services will be held September 30th at 1pm at English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’ Alene.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hospice House of North Idaho.
