KPD Roll Call April 10-17
•Foot patrol at Kellogg Middle School.
•Noticed the “Road Closed to thru traffic” signs pop back up. Yes the road construction has begun. Oh joy...
•Responded to a call regarding juveniles riding their bicycles on Hill St. weaving in and out of traffic. Located juveniles, issued a verbal warning and sent them on home.
•Follow upon a case from the county.
•Dispatched to the 600 Block of Upper 3rd St. for a verbal domestic. Parties were separated and peace was restored.
•Dropped into Tilted Towers. Didn’t last long.
•Call to the 400 block of Chestnut Ave. for suspicious activity. Reporting party claimed someone was trying to enter their residence through a window. Observed no indications of attempted forced entry and did not locate anyone in the area.
•Conducted a business check on a building on Bunker Ave. Located an open door, cleared the building with K74 and later secured the building.
•Attended the Wardner City Council meeting. Thinking they need to fill the candy bowl for a certain city council person. Just saying....
•Mobile patrols of Kellogg and Wardner.
•Traffic stop Division and Riverside. Vehicle had no lights on Main and W. Idaho, they were on by the time of stop. Also came out the wrong way on the one-way in the alley between McKinley and W. Idaho. Verbal warnings.
•Possible burglary in progress 400 block of Chestnut. Unfounded, searched the area unable to locate any persons. K77 on-scene nearly immediately before and after call and did not see any persons in the area.
•Walk-through of Kellogg Community Center, open door again. Secured building.
•LE meeting.
•School patrol.
•Responded to a trespass at Silver Mt. Resort. Five individuals sneaked into the facility to use the hot tube. All individuals were asked to leave and given a verbal warning.
•Welfare check at Trail Motel. Cleared, negative contact.
•Citizen contact KPD cleared public assist.
•Report of attempted unlawful entry at 300 Block of Main St.
•Citizen contact KPD cleared public assist.
•Walk through of KMS while there active 911 call at the school. After walking in every room and having the class check their phones the 911 call was gone and there was no sign of emergency throughout the school. Cleared, public assist.
•Patrolled Kellogg and Wardner.
•Trespass call at 500 block Bunker Ave. Cleared, public assist.
•Patrolled on foot throughout Kellogg & conducted building checks.
•Dispatched to the 500 block of Bunker Ave. for an overdue juvenile. The juvenile was later located.
•Assisted K74 with a land line request.
•LL request reference house key taken. Made contact with “suspect” and he stated he looked and could not find it, believing he does not have it. Spoke with RP and she was not happy with the outcome. Not much more could be done reference the now lost key. Public assist.
•Patrolled Kellogg and Wardner.
•Possible rental home scam 600 block Hill St. Cleared No Action Taken (NAT).
•Finished reports.
•Assisted Forest Service LE with warrant services. Cleared other agency assist.
•FSLE was making contact with one of their warrants and said warrant drove to them while having a suspended license. I filled out the citation, FSLE signed it. While contacting suspect, her passenger was in possession of marijuana, so I seized the marijuana and wrote a misdemeanor citation and released the passenger as well. Cleared cite and release x2.
•Finished reports and ran them to the SO and courthouse.
•Citizen contact at KPD cleared civil only.
•Arrested an adult female for disturbing the peace. This was one of those calls that you think you’re going to clear “peace restored” because the person went back into their house and your walking back to your patrol car, but no. Said adult female comes back out of her house and starts dropping the F-bomb’s in front of some kids walking down the street. Cleared, misdemeanor arrest.
•Foot patrolled & conducted business checks.
•Assisted K75 with an arrest on the 400 block of Cameron.
•Dispatched to a prowler near the 400 block of Chestnut. I was in the area during the time of being dispatched and began searching the area. After K74 and I searched, we were unable to find anyone in the area other than deer.
•Responded to suspicious activity near the 500 block of Main St., Wardner. Located the suspect vehicle on Hill St. and made contact. Discovered individuals were attempting to flag down a friend for a ride by throwing items at the vehicle. Cleared unfounded.
•Citizen contact on the 100 block of Riverside. Individual’s vehicle door was open and no one was around. Made contact with the owner and discovered the trunk was accidentally opened through a key FOB.
•Assisted County with a burglary alarm at the vet hospital in Pinehurst. Discovered a cat running around inside which set off the alarm.
•Citizen contact Main/Market. Male out for a jog at 0200. Documented contact, however I don’t think anything nefarious was in place.
•K77 located open vehicle 100 block of W. Riverside. Contacted owner and it was inspected to ensure nothing was missing. Public assist.
•County assist in Pinehurst for burglar alarm at vet’s office. Kitty cat running at large inside the building probably set off the motion alarm. Building checked and secured.
•Mobile patrols of Kellogg and Wardner.
•Assist county with subject at SMC. When I arrived, it was discovered that assistance was not needed as the subject complied.
•Possible tobacco violation taking place at the skate park. Contacted subject at the skate park and no tobacco was located. Unfounded.
•Traffic stop Chestnut and Mullan for vehicle towing a 4-wheeler. Advised them to push the 4-wheeler rather than tow it.
•Evidence processing and further evidence work.
•Dispatched to 400 block Chestnut for stalking incident. Cleared unfounded
•Dispatched to Pizza Palace for male subject throwing rocks at his car. Upon arrival it was determined that no rocks actually hit his car. Tried finding subject who threw rocks near the victim’s car but was unable to locate. Cleared unfounded.
•Traffic stop under I90 overpass on Hill St. for speeding on McKinley Ave. Cleared verbal
•Dispatched to 100 block W Mission for possible Minor in possession. Cleared unfounded.
•Runaway juvenile. Cleared, public assist.
•Assist 1113 with combative female in Pinehurst. Cleared, other agency assist.
•Spoke with parents about their child stealing. Cleared, public assist.
•Assist K73 with disturbance in progress. Cleared, agency assist.
•Patrolled Kellogg and Wardner.
•Dispatched to Riverside and Thorn St. for male sitting in the middle of the street. Cleared unfounded.
•Malicious injury to prop on Mullan Ave. Three of 4 tires “slashed.” Report taken.
•Public assist on Riverside.
•Dispatched to 200 block of E Portland for suspicious vehicle. Vehicle was no longer there upon arrival, but I later found the vehicle at Riverside and Oregon. Cleared NAT.
•Dispatched to a dog fight at Kellogg Park near Railroad Ave. Discovered the fight happened after one dog jumped out of a vehicle when it seen the other dog. Cleared the call after both parties agreed to handle the incident civilly.
•Responded to a vehicle crash at Stein’s Market (IGA). A Coke-a-cola tractor clipped the liquor store building causing some damage and some mixed drinks. Report was taken.
•K77 handled a call regarding a dog at large at the corner of Hill St. & Mullan Ave. Reporting party claimed the dog was being aggressive and attempted to attack her. Found the dog and K77 almost got attacked by the dog. Located the owner of the dog and issued a citation.
•Assisted County in Smelterville for a unknown 911 call.
•Conducted a welfare check on Legion. Individuals turned out to be ok.
•Conducted speed enforcement on E. Cameron Ave.
•Dispatched to a threat call on Hill St. K72 assisted K77 and they located both parties near Hill St. Conoco. After speaking with everyone, sent both parties in separate directions and instructed them to leave each other alone. Cleared peace restored.
•Traffic stop on Utah St. and Cameron for stop sign violation and texting while driving. Cleared verbal.
•Traffic stop on 100 block E Cameron for 1 working headlight. Cleared citation issued for fail to provide insurance. Subject also had an invalid license, had passenger drive vehicle home.
•Assisted K77 with harmful threats call, parties were separated and peace restored. Cleared, agency assist.
