Roger Lloyd Fulton, 86
Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and former Mayor Roger Lloyd Fulton, 86, of Kellogg, Idaho, passed away April 23, 2018 at Mountain Valley of Cascadia of Kellogg. He was born August 28, 1931 in Lead, South Dakota; Roger was the son of Earl and Leone (Orr) Fulton.
Roger attended and graduated from the Rose Lake High School; he also attended the Lewis/Clark State College.
Roger moved to the Silver Valley in 1950 from the Rose Lake area. He married Maxine Fuhriman in 1950 in Rose Lake; they later divorced. Roger moved to Lewiston, Idaho in 1969; he married Alma Knapp on August 6, 1979 in Lewiston; Alma passed away March 14, 2002. In 2010, Roger moved back to the Silver Valley to be near his family.
In earlier years, Roger played professional baseball in Oklahoma City. He had also served as Mayor of the City of Kellogg for twelve years. While residing in Lewiston, Roger had served as Green Superintendent for the Lewiston Country Club.
Roger was a member of the Moose Lodge of Clarkston, Washington and a member of the Kellogg Elks Lodge #1841.
Roger loved and enjoyed his family, golfing, fishing and hunting.
Roger is survived by two children Allen (Debbie) Fulton of Pinehurst, Idaho, Carol (Ron) Jacobs of Rose lake, Idaho; four step-children Judy (Don) Hanks of St. Maries, Idaho, Julie Nelson of Lewiston, Idaho, Jerry (Cathy) Nelson of St. Maries, Idaho and Diana (Lyle) Perry of Oregon; his grandchildren Stacy (Jeff) Kendrick, Travis (Amber) Fulton, Marc (Alma) Edwards, Christa (Jeremy) Gray, Tanna (Craig) Wicks, McKayla Perry, Tyler Perry, Chad (Reva) Nelson and Bret (Kelsie) Nelson; numerous great-grandchildren; one sister Lillian Ackenbach of Spokane, Washington; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, one son Arthur James Fulton, his second wife Alma, one sister Carolyn Sullivan and one brother Bud Fulton.
A Celebration of Roger’s Life will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel of Kellogg. A reception/luncheon will be held at the Kellogg Elks following services.
