KPD Roll Call April 17-24

•Called to a possible battery on Elder Ave. An adult male was upset that his neighbor would not give him a ride to CDA, so he gave him a fat lip. Said adult male ended up getting a ride, but just in the opposite direction. Cleared, arrest.

•A very nice but VERY smelly rottweiler was taken into the pound. Glad it was nice out, so I could roll the windows down.

•Fake 20 at Stein’s, yes, the ones with the red Chinese writing one it. Report Taken (RT).

•Had some cake and ice cream.

•Vin inspections X2.

•Released a dog from the pound.

•Responded to a parking complaint at Laundry Express on Riverside Ave. Owner of Laundry Express informed me of a Dave Smith employee who has been warned about parking in his lot and still is. The owner and K77 made contact with Dave Smith Motors and made them aware of the situation. More follow up will be conducted.

•Extra patrols in construction areas and alleys.

•Citizen contact in alley between Riverside and Mullan off of Hill. Advised not to park vehicle in alleyway (blocking). Vehicle was moved w/o incident.

•Mobile patrols of Kellogg and Wardner.

•Traffic stop Division/Cameron. Vehicle driving down E. Cameron without lights. Verbal warning for lights, citation for insurance and vehicle search conducted- nothing found.

•Traffic with bicyclist at Division and Cameron. Came from residential area, advised him of a need for lamp on vehicle and he used his cell phone light to continue on his way. Verbal.

•Foot patrol throughout Kellogg checking on buildings.

•Dispatched to a dog at large in the area of Main St. Searched the area and was unable to locate.

•Impounded 2 German Shepard’s for the Sheriff’s Office. Dogs were picked up at the Wal-Mart parking lot.

•Assisted District No.2 fire with a call claiming the YMCA building on McKinley’s roof was on fire. When K77 arrived, it looked like smoke was coming from the roof of the YMCA building. Later on, it was discovered the smoke was coming from Shoshone Funeral Home and running over the top of the YMCA building.

•Worked on reports.

•Dogs collected by County. K77 admitted them to the pound.

•Open door found 10 block of W. Portland. Building checked and secured.

•Open door found 10 block McKinley. Resident notified and door secured.

•Foot patrols Bunker, McKinley, Main, Portland, Market, Idaho and other various locations.

•Called to 300 W Riverside Ave. for report of a fence post being struck. Cleared, public assist.

•Speed emphasis on E. Cameron Ave. Conducted 2 traffic stops.

•Released two dogs from pound.

•Patrolled Kellogg and Wardner.

•LL request with IRS harassment. Cleared, public assist.

•Citizen contact at KPD regarding custody issues. Cleared, public assist.

•Foot patrol on Main, McKinley, W Market.

•Dispatched to custodial interference at the Cameron Conoco. After making contact with both parties, child was exchanged without incident.

•Responded to a threats call at the Amy Lynns Apartments.

•Silver Mt. called regarding juveniles running away from Silver Mt. employees after trespassing and using one of the hot tubs. Upon arrival, juveniles came back to Silver Mt. and admitted to trespassing. Verbal warning was issued at Silver Mt.’s request.

•Dispatched to a welfare check on the 200 block of W. Mullan Ave. Discovered the individual in question was out of the state at an unknown location. Attempt to locate was issued to surrounding counties to assist with locating and conduct welfare.

•Assist with child custody issue. Issue was resolved after determining there was no imminent danger to child.

•Threats 100 block of E. Portland. Juveniles and parents contacted, both parties told to stay away from one another.

•Traffic stop Division/Market. Verbal for speed.

•Trespassing at Silver Mtn. K77 contacted the juveniles involved and sent them home. Verbal, warning given.

•Welfare check 200 block of W. Mullan. Per people at the residence, subject is out of state at a concert somewhere. Information passed to oncoming shift to let them know for the welfare check.

•K75 assisted Leadman race with traffic control.

•Welfare check at 200 block of W. Mullan. Subject showed up to work and was code 4.

•Stolen bike report done and bike entered into NCIC.

•Fight in progress at the Silver Rapids Waterpark. Cleared cite and release also trespassed suspect from Silver Mt.

•Patrolled Kellogg and Wardner.

•Threats 500 block of W. Riverside. Information report taken and completed.

•Assisted K75 with the battery at Silver Mtn. water park. After citation was issued, subject was removed from the property and trespassed.

•Landline request regarding child custody issue. This issue was taking place in the County and referred to that agency. From information gathered, it is civil in nature but a welfare check was requested and completed by County in the County.

•Traffic stop for speed Division/Kellogg Ave. Vehicle stopped 600 block of 2nd St. Alcohol involved and field sobriety tests refused. Took subject to Public Safety Building for breath test and test was passed (NOT DUI). Citation issued for speed 38/25. Information report taken and completed documenting transport to County for Breath Test and results.

•Agency assist at SMC. Juvenile in the custody of the state admitted. Biological parent arrived and did not want to be seen, initially refusing to leave and eventually left without incident.

•Got my first (solo)#1 Victory Royale, so I have that going for me.

•Assisted 1226 with theft in progress in Kingston. Cleared other agency assist.

•Patrol of Kellogg and Wardner.

•Traffic stop on McKinley and Galena ridge for white light to the rear. Cleared citation issued for Driving Without Privileges (DWP).

•Traffic stop on Hill St. under the I90 overpass for no lights on after dawn. Cleared, verbal.

•Traffic stop on 100 block of Mullan Ave. for no headlights and turn signal violation. Cleared, citation issued for no insurance.

•Traffic stop on S Division and McKinley for no head lights. Cleared, verbal.

•Dispatched to Sunshine Inn for a fight in progress. One half of the party was unconscious upon arrival (I think more due to the amount of alcohol he drank). No charges were pursued. Medical was also called for the unconscious male and he was taken to the hospital to get checked out. Cleared, other agency assist.

•Dispatched to a fight in progress on 500 block of 2nd St. Parties were separated upon arrival. After investigation, it was found that two brothers where involved. Turns out one brother didn’t like cereal being thrown all over his room, so he hit the other brother over the head with a wrench. Now this might sound like young kids and even teen brothers being teen brothers, but no, both well over 50. Cleared arrest.

•Landline request to speak with a victim of malicious injury to property. Male was reporting his car being keyed on the trunk. Took pictures and created report. Cleared, report taken.

•Civil standby at McDonald’s Child custom exchange.

•Assisted K73 with suspicious subject by Humdingers carrying a large object and running towards the freeway on ramp. Locate subject, he was hitchhiking home. Cleared, agency assist.

•Patrolled Kellogg Wardner.

•Returned a dog at large to the owner.

•Traffic stop 200 block of East Cameron for stop sign-verbal.

•Contacted about a domestic battery event that happened early in the morning.

•Dealt with a runaway 16-year old female. Boy that was fun...not. After about three hours, was able to return said runaway.

•T-stop on Chestnut and Brown St. for one headlight. Cleared, verbal.

•Hey the sun was out for two days in a row. Might be spring.

•Took a report of a wallet being stolen at the Amy Lynn’s.

•Attempted to catch the same dog that has eluded all of us. Was unable to get close as usual, and I still don’t know who owns it.

•Helped a 4- year old find his lost dad in the park. Cleared, public assist.

•Helped the Middle School with a juvenile fight, was handled within the school. Cleared N.A.T.

•K76 had to locate the same juvenile from the day before, didn’t come home again.
