Jordan deserves to be Governor!
My name is Katie, I am too young to vote, but want people who can vote to know about a meeting held with Rep. Paulette Jordan and some important information. I am part Native American, I also live in the Silver Valley that is a lead Superfund site. My family has taught me about lead, they have done everything possible to work with the EPA for clean up and to get funds for many people who need help with lead medial issues. My papa put up a sign at our house,
“this is a lead dirt road”.
The meeting was held to ask Rep. Jordan who running for Governor in Idaho to help shut down the toxic waste dump at the Old Mission at Cataldo that happens to be the CD’A tribes’ ancestral land. The toxic pollution that is being dumped there is spreading downstream, it is also harming wildlife, there is no notice or warning for people who drive by or visit the Mission of the danger.
Rep. Jordan seemed genuinely concerned about what the contamination is doing to the environment and to our area. If she is going get it shutdown, she deserves to be Governor!
(My grandmother helped me to attend the meeting and write this letter. Her name is Carla Bassemier)
