| August 6, 2018 6:23 PM

ST. MARIES– For public health and safety concerns due to road construction, the St. Joe Ranger District has a issued a temporary road closure on a section of Forest Service Road (FSR) #216 on Homestead Creek. The closure is located south of Avery, Idaho, from mile post 4.4 to mile post 8.0 on FSR #216 (see attached map).

The road will be closed for heavy road reconstruction including the replacement of two bridges, and may be closed for up to four weeks. “We appreciate the public’s patience as we complete this important project to improve the safety of forest roads for future recreational access,” said District Ranger Matt Davis. Motorists are asked to please drive cautiously in the construction area outside of the closure, be patient with congested traffic, and observe traffic signs.
