Richard (Dick) W. Spears Sr, 77

Richard (Dick) W. Spears Sr., 77 went to be with his wife of 57 years on August 13, 2018 at SilverWood Good Samaritan Center in Silverton, Idaho. He was born on September 22, 1940 in Challis, Idaho to Aubrey and Margretha (West) Spears. Dick grew up and went to school in Challis, Idaho. He had served in the United States Air Force. He married Beverley Palmer in Paris, Idaho on September 16, 1960.

Dick was a Diamond Driller, a logger, a long haul truck driver and then worked at the transfer station until his retirement. He came to Osburn in 1961 with his wife and daughter and lived here the rest of his life.

Dick enjoyed camping, reading, 3D puzzles and westerns. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his four children, Tammy Spears, Teresa Kelly (Shaun), Tracy Spears and Richard Spears Jr. (Stephanie); his eight grandchildren, Brandon, Danny, Tyler, Hope, Tanya, Colby, Jaden, Cassidy; two great-grandsons, Leo Spears and Tucker Harrington. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Beverley; his parents, one sister, one brother and one daughter.

The family will have a private graveside service at the Osburn Cemetery.
