Gutierrez fundraiser thank you

It never ceases to amaze me that when the chips are down, help comes from all directions. That’s what happened this past Saturday (Aug. 25) at the fundraiser for Richard and Connie Gutierrez.

I would like to take this opportunity to give a heartfelt thank you to all the contributors to the silent auction and raffle. Thanks goes to all the “guys’ in the band (1 Gun and the Longshots). Even the band’s gals, Cindy Bentley, Leslie Stanley and Nancy Grebil, pitched in serving food and cleaning up. Paul Andrews from Mom’s Vintage Eatery stepped up to the plate to cover for Candy who couldn’t attend at the last minute. To the Wallace Elks and staff for helping out where needed. Ticket takers, Nancy and Lonny Green, helped keep the “green” coming in.

Shoshone News-Press did a wonderful interview and article about Richard’s health issue.

A big thank you to my family, Ted Pettis, Stacee Seaton and friend Heather Truitt for doing countless jobs and keeping me sane! And last but never least to all those in and out of the community that attended the event.

I encourage all who are reading to say thank you when shopping your local businesses.
