NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ORDINANCE NOS. 2018-05, 2018-06 RESOLUTION NO. 2018-202 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Wallace , will hold a public hearing on Ordinance No. 2018-05, Ordinance No. 2018-06, and Resolution 2018-202, at Wallace City Hall on the 12th day of December, 2018, at 6:00 o'clock p.m., to receive public comment on the ordinances to establish a new Wallace City Code Title 10, Chapter 2, Sewers and Drains, Title 10, Chapter 4, Sewer Rates and Fees, and resolution Establishing Sewer Rates and Fees, for the City of Wallace. A summary of the principal provisions of Ordinance No. 2018-05, of the City of Wallace , Shoshone County, Idaho, are as follows: AN ORDINANCE REPEALING THE EXISTING WALLACE CITY CODE, TITLE 10, CHAPTER 2, AND ADOPTING A NEW WALLACE CITY CODE, TITLE 10, CHAPTER 2, PROVIDING FOR SEWERS AND DRAINS, DEFINING APPLICABLE TERMS, AND THE REQUIRED USE OF PUBLIC SEWER; PROVIDING FOR BUILDING SEWERS AND CONNECTIONS; PROVIDING FOR SEWER LATERAL REPLACEMENT PROGRAM INSPECTION AND REPAIR; REGULATING THE USE OF PUBLIC SEWERS AND THE PROTECTION OF SEWER WORKS; AUTHORIZING INSPECTORS AND MISDEMEANOR PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS OF THE PROVISIONS OF THIS CHAPTER; REPEALING ANY ORDINANCES OR CODE SECTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. A summary of the principal provisions of Ordinance No. 2018-06, of the City of Wallace , Shoshone County, Idaho, are as follows: AN ORDINANCE REPEALING THE EXISTING WALLACE CITY CODE, TITLE 10, CHAPTER 4, AND ADOPTING A NEW WALLACE CITY CODE, TITLE 10, CHAPTER 4, PROVIDING FOR SEWER RATES AND COLLECTION OF FEES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE WALLACE CITY SEWER SYSTEM, ESTABLISHING THAT SEWER FEES MAY BE ESTABLISHED BY RESOLUTION, PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES FOR THE NON-PAYMENT OF FEES; REPEALING ANY ORDINANCES OR CODE SECTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. A summary of the principal provisions of Resolution No. 2018-202 of the City of Wallace , Shoshone County, Idaho, are as follows: Whereas the City of Wallace desires to establish sewer rates pursuant to Idaho Code Sections 63-1311 and 63-1311A, and subsequently established City Ordinance(s), and the City has installed and maintained the sewer system infrastructure necessary for public health and safety of citizens utilizing the City of Wallace sewer system, and the City has determined that it is necessary to memorialize the presently established sewer rate assessed as necessary to support the actual costs of supplying sewer system services; The City desires the following sewer rate fee proposal, with billing to commence and continue on a quarterly basis: Presently Established Rate: All sewer services to be billed at $10.52 per ERU per month Proposed Established Rate: All sewer services to be billed at $10.52 per ERU per month The full text of the Ordinances and Resolution to be brought for public hearing, are available at City Hall, 703 Cedar Street, Wallace, Idaho, and will be provided to any citizen upon personal request during normal office hours.
