Free community Ecumenical Christmas dinner

Every year, some of the churches, in Osburn, Silverton, Wallace and Mullan host an Ecumenical Christmas dinner.

Free for anyone who would otherwise not have a dinner, or for some, who just want the social contact of not being alone or having to cook, even if you’re just passing through our Silver Valley, all are welcome.

We have a full menu; turkey, ham, and the churches donate all the trimmings: mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, dressing, fresh cranberry relish, salads and desserts, rolls, coffee and punch. We decorate the tables and a Christmas tree. The volunteers donate their time and efforts all with a happy heart.

Hosted by Church of God, Wallace, this year. Held at United Church of Christ Congregational in Wallace, on Fourth and Cedar streets. Handicap access on Fourth Street.

We always have a wonderful time with lots of visiting people we haven’t seen all year and watching the kids’ faces, young and old. All this is done with love in our hearts and working together to see that everyone has a great day. Please join us. We will have dinner deliveries for home bound on Saturday, from Mullan to Big Creek, please call ahead by Dec. 20 to be put on the list, give name, address and phone number. Call Art Fleming at 208-755-0334.

If you have any questions, call Julie Robbins at 208-512-0473.
