HSVCC welcomes new board members
KELLOGG — The Historic Silver Valley Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the newest members of their board of directors — Kelton Enich, Scott Albrethsen and Keri Alexander.
Enich moved to Kellogg about two and a half years ago, after growing up in Missoula, Mont. She attended the University of Montana for a degree in teaching, then moved to the Valley to work at Kellogg High School as an English teacher who also teaches creative writing and leadership.
Since moving to Kellogg, she has helped organize numerous school and community events, including Kellogg High School Homecoming, prom, Brawl for the Ball fundraisers and multiple poetry readings.
“I love bridging the gap between school and community and hope my involvement with the chamber will help bring more students to community events,” Enich said.
In her spare time, she likes to go to the Farmers Market, ski at Silver Mountain, run and hike with her dog, cook, and play ultimate frisbee.
Albrethsen grew up in Coeur d’Alene and graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School.
After moving and residing in Missoula for the last seven years, Albrethsen moved to the Silver Valley, where he worked for Zapple Property Management as a maintenance supervisor prior to his current position as director of the Kellogg Middle School After School Program.
“It will be an honor to serve on the Historic Silver Valley Chamber of Commerce board,” Albrethsen said.
Alexander is a lifelong resident of the Silver Valley and a graduate of Kellogg High School.
She now resides in Big Creek with her husband, Mitch, and two children Abbey and Mason.
She is the publisher of the Shoshone News-Press and a member of PEO Chapter M. While her family and career keep her busy, Alexander always creates time for gardening, cooking, entertaining and outdoor adventures with her husband.
“The Silver Valley Chamber of Commerce has been doing some very positive things in our community, and I'm really excited to join this great team and help them accomplish more goals,” Alexander said. “I’m proud to be one of the Silver Valley’s biggest cheerleaders and I hope my ambition and enthusiasm will elevate the mission and vision of the chamber.”
