Roy Dale Tattrie, 81
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Roy Dale Tattrie, 81, of Kellogg, Idaho, passed away January 28, 2018 at the Mountain Valley of Cascadia of Kellogg, Idaho. He was born on August 5, 1936 in Tatamagouche, Canada; Roy was the son of Roy and Jennie (MacBurnie) Tattrie.
In 1953, Roy moved to the United States from Canada where he began working for a printing company. Over the years he spent time as a long haul truck driver and as a miner working in the Star Mine before retiring.
On March 2, 1968, Roy was united in marriage to Peggy Foster in Auburn, Nebraska.
In his free time Roy enjoyed going hunting and fishing. His favorite place to fish was the St. Joe River. Roy also enjoyed going camping and spending time in the great outdoors. Roy enjoyed his time spent with family and friends telling them all kinds of stories. Roy also enjoyed spending time reading his bible. He was a man of faith and was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Osburn.
Roy is survived by his wife Peggy Tattrie; two children Pamela (Larry) Winans and Vickie (Char) Straw; five siblings Myrna Ponce, Sheila Stovall, Iris Miller, Twila Zepp and Dawn Mayers. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Roy was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Duane Tattrie and Wendell Tattrie; three son’s Mark Allen Tattrie, Dean Tattrie, Robert Tattrie and his daughter Jane Woods.
Per Roy’s request no services will be held.
The family would like to extend a specials thanks to Mary Ruth Butler and the entire staff of Mountain Valley Care & Rehab for the tender loving care they provided Roy in his final years.
