KPD Roll Call Feb. 13-20

•Patrolled the now snow-covered streets and alley ways.

•Dispatched to 300 block E Idaho for suspicious circumstance. Home owner thought they heard someone in their house and wanted us to clear the house before they entered. cleared building secured.

•Dispatched to assist county in Kingston for a woman laying naked in the snow apparently passed out. Upon arrival female had already gotten a ride home. Cleared other agency assist

•Attended the Wardner city council meeting, I was a little disappointed that all the candy was gone.

•Returned some evidence to its owner.

•LE meeting with 662.

•Conducted foot patrol at the middle school.

•Assault at Cameron Conoco – An adult male was upset that he was asked for his ID to buy his 40oz. Said adult male came back in and threatened to punch the next person who asked for his ID. Mr.40oz now has a citation for assault and is trespassed from all of the gas stations. Good luck getting your 40oz now.

•Suspicious activity 400 block of Bunker - juveniles yelling at other juveniles. Some were in a vehicle and some were not. K73 contacted “victims” and it was determined no crime was involved.

•3 VIN Inspections.

•Mobile patrols of Kellogg.

•Traffic stop in the 100 block of Mission Ave for a stop sign violation- Clear verbal.

•Assisted 1215 on a traffic stop up Pinecreek. Driver was placed into custody. Felony arrest- cleared other agency assist.

•Responded to a crash in (yes “in”) Sunnyside Drug on Cameron. Individual drove his vehicle into the building. Report was taken.

•Conducted a traffic stop on 900 block of McKinley Ave. Cleared verbal.

•Evidence work- prepping for evidence destruction upcoming.

•Attempted paper service- no answer.

•Vehicle crash at intersection of Main and Market. Vehicle struck sign at intersection. Report taken.

•Patrol of Kellogg and Wardner.

•Took vehicle crash on Main/McKinley. Crash was non reportable. Made sure parties exchanged info and cleared public assist.

•Assisted K76 with traffic stop on 400 block of Brown St. Cleared agency assist.

•Dispatched to cover 1222 for felony warrant. Cleared other agency assist.

•Traffic stop on Bunker Ave. into KMS parking lot for no left rear tail light. Cleared verbal.

•Courtesy ride for three females who were lost in town. Transported to Silver Mtn.

•Laser being pointed at 1228 while he was driving westbound on Riverside Ave. K76 and K72 assisted with trying to locate whoever was pointing the laser at law enforcement.

•Assisted K76 with traffic stop on Galena Ridge and McKinley. Cleared agency assist.

•Citizen contact on Riverside and Price, the subject had just arrived home and ended up having a suspended license. Cleared verbal.

•Mobile patrols of Kellogg and Wardner.

•Civil paper service- Served.

•Possible identity theft reported. Victim calling from Louisiana reporting identity was used to purchase vehicle at Dave Smith Motors. Stated vehicle was tracked using GPS to a location in Illinois and they are trying to get the vehicle back. Attempted contact with victim several times without success...unable to get any further information at this time other than name and phone number. Went to Dave Smith and checked the little information I had - they are not showing anyone with that information as a customer (no vehicle sold). However, they received a phone call from a Police Department in Illinois regarding a stolen vehicle that was purchased at Dave Smith. Upon contact with that PD, there is no officer by the name that was given. Looking further into this.

•Vehicle slide-off intersection of Railroad and Hill. Vehicle’s tow hook got hung up on the anchor wire for the power pole. After someone stopped to help, they were able to disconnect the tow hook from the body of the vehicle and remove the vehicle. No damage to either the vehicle or the anchor line. Assisted with Traffic control while they worked on the vehicle.

•Vehicle crash in Mullan- involved county plow vs parked vehicle. Agency assist.

•Reports.

•Called to SMC regarding civil issue. This was not a civil issue but an issue with a patient. Cleared assist.

•Traffic stop on Brown for no plates. Clear verbal.

•Traffic stop on McKinley Ave. for expired registration. Clear verbal.

•Patrolled Kellogg and Wardner.

•Called to the 400 block of West Mullan for a no contact order violation, upon arrival the subject had left the scene but was said to be nearby. K76 and K75 searched the area and other known hangouts of this person but couldn’t locate him at that time...

•Called to the 500 block of Wardner for a 911 hang up- K75 and I responded and after speaking with the RP everything was code 4- cleared N.A.T.

•Called back to the same residence up Wardner per 911. One of the people at the home was attempting to leave and was highly intoxicated. She thankfully decided to stay.

•While leaving that residence, K75 and I were called back to the 400 block of West Mullan for the same NCO violation. This time however the subject was still there on arrival and indeed was in violation of the no contact order- Clear arrest.

•Assist K76 with NCO violation 400 block of Mullan Ave. Cleared UTL.

•911 hangup 500 block main Wardner. Cleared public assist.

•911 call again for intoxicated female trying to drive away 500 block Main Wardner. Female had all keys taken away and was inside upon my arrival. Cleared peace restored.

•Patrolled Kellogg and Wardner.

•Snowmageddon!

•Ran paperwork up to Sheriff’s Office for current in-custody.

•Released dog from pound.

•Evidence work.

•Animal complaint 100 block of Kellogg Ave. Owners of dogs were not home. Dogs have access to inside the residence as they were inside when I arrived- they were choosing to be outside in the blizzard. Animal warning door hanger left on door.

•Numerous citizen contacts via vehicles on the side of road...or rather in the roadway as there was no “side of road” for most of the day.

•Assist county with burglary alarm at Sling Inn. Cleared other agency assist.

•Residence checks.

•Patrolled for vehicles in need of the pesky orange 48-hour snow removal stickers.

•Responded to a hit and run and malicious injury to property on E. Riverside. An 18-wheeler took out victim’s fence with the trailer while trying to make the corner. Suspect drove off and I was unable to locate. Report was taken.

•Citizen contact at the PD. Wanted to file a report for 2nd degree stalking. After speaking with the female for a bit, discovered it was pertaining to mostly civil stuff (Custody issues). Cleared assist.

•Assist K77 with a vehicle that wanted to go the back way to Les Schwab’s.

•Report of an assault on Riverside Ave. It had occurred over a month ago. Cleared report taken.

•Dispatched to a ladder that was on the freeway at MP 49. County was close and handled the call. Sad to report the ladder did not make it.

•Assist a broken-down motorist on McKinley Ave. Traffic control tell tow had arrived. Cleared public assist.

•Welfare check on Bunker Ave. Granddaughter worried because she had not been able to contact her grandmother for a few days. All was code 4. Grandmother stated that she would call granddaughter.

•Worked on search warrant.

•911 call for disturbing the peace in 500 block of W. Mission. Cleared verbal warning for noise and misuse of 911.

•K75 Tagged 24 vehicles for snow removal.

•Foot patrol at Kellogg Middle School.

•Dispatched to a verbal domestic on W. Brown. Made contact with female party and 1227 made contact with male party in Pinehurst. Cleared NAT.

•Malicious injury to property at 100 block W Mullan Ave. Victim said as long as suspect pays for all the broken windows he won’t press charges.

•Foot patrol at the Kellogg Middle School.

•Spoke with a few citizens regarding their vehicles being tagged for removal.

•Assisted a male on W. Elder with a parking complaint.
