Beloved wife of 45 years to Allan Holcomb, mother of 3 children- twin daughters- Shareena Morris (Jason) Denver, CO, Alleena Holcomb Greenacres, WA- their beloved son- Cary Holcomb (Stephanie) Spokane Valley, WA. Grandmother to five granddaughters: Ella Sophia, Ashley Grace, Lacey, Lauren, and Lindsay. Sharon was born on December 15, 1943 in Bellevue, WA to Wilbur and Lillian Hunt. Sharon was the fourth child; three older brothers and three younger brothers. She is survived by five brothers, Paul, Jim, Jerry, Steve, and Nathan Hunt. Brother, Tommy Hunt (deceased). Sharon peacefully passed away on January 11, 2018. She is greatly missed.

She loved to travel the Pacific Northwest with her husband, Allan, a Vietnam veteran. She was always coming up with a new project; their most recent project was building a large wood planter box in the backyard for Allan’s numerous irises. Sharon was an accomplished and creative water color artist. She loved gardening and growing flowers especially her large pink rose bushes. She was a very descriptive writer and communicator, a lead “After-school” teacher at the Portland School District, and an Assistant Director at two large church pre-schools in Portland, OR. Baking was another passion of hers. Her pies are famous around the country among family and friends. Her Swedish mother and grandmother taught Sharon at an early age the love for the old recipes that had been passed down from the “Old Country”.

She graduated from a private Christian high school in San Antonio, TX. During the summers while attending Seattle Bible Training College, Sharon was part of a female gospel quartet singing and traveling in the Northwest Territories of Canada, Ontario, and British Columbia as missionaries on the Indian reservations. They held church services for adults and Vacation Bible school for children. Sharon was the first female in her family that graduated from a four-year college. In addition, she continued her teacher’s education by studying Fine Art at Oral Robert’s University, Tulsa, OK, and at Butte College, Chico, CA.

It was Sharon and Allan’s strong faith in Jesus Christ that brought them together. Over the years, God showed himself over and over again through the good times and the hard times. His love never fails. Sharon is a rare and precious treasure; a strong woman of faith, a loving wife, a special mother, a sweet sister, and a friend to many.
