Emergency crews responded to a vehicle slide-off into the Coeur d’Alene River Monday night on Silver Valley Road between Osburn and Silverton. Although the one occupant walked away with only minor injuries, officials stress that motorists need to remain cautious through the winter season. Even with warm weather during the day, night temperatures can dip below freezing and make previously safe roads hazardous.
