PUBLIC NOTICE The City of Wallace is seeking a volunteer to serve on our Planning, Zoning, and Historic Preservation Commission. The commission meets once a month, generally on first Wednesdays, at which time it hears applications for various land use and historic preservation matters within the city limits. Applicants must be residents of the City or its impact area and must not be city employees. As per city code, applicants shall have a demonstrated interest, competence, or knowledge in history or historic preservation. Applicants with professional training or experience in a related field such as architecture, history, urban planning, law, or engineering are especially encouraged. We do not have a formal application form, but we ask that applicants submit a one page letter explaining why they would like to be on the commission and what particular skills or experience they have that would be helpful to the City in this capacity.
