Donald “Don” Eugene McPeak, 66

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Donald “Don” Eugene McPeak, 66, of Osburn, Idaho, passed away June 6, 2018 at the Shoshone Medical Center of Kellogg. He was born March 30, 1952 in Kellogg; Don was the son of Richard and Rayma (Warren) McPeak.

Don attended and graduated from the Cascade High School of Everett, Washington in 1970.

Don married Doris M. Neisinger on February 14, 1972 in Everett. Don and Doris moved to the Silver Valley in May of 1972.

Don first worked for the Bunker Hill Mining Company at the Zinc Plant; he then went to work for the Insulspan Company of Kellogg for ten years and at KWAL Radio as a technician and DJ.

Don was a member of the Spokane Caller League for Square Dancing, a member of the Silver Valley Squares and other Square Dancing Clubs. Through square dancing and serving as a caller of which he so loved, Don and Doris traveled to many places including Hawaii and Canada.

Don loved and enjoyed his family, hunting and was presently building a new family home near Harrison.

Don is survived by his beloved wife of forty-six years Doris McPeak of the family home of Osburn; one son Chris McPeak of Spokane, Washington; two daughters Vicky (Jake) Powlison of Hayden, Idaho and Janelle (Jeff) Decker of Post Falls, Idaho; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; two sisters Donna Prichard of Georgia and Paula Henry of Colorado; two brothers Bernie McPeak of Arizona and Jeff McPeak of Colorado; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Duane.

A Celebration of Don’s Life will be held and announced at a later date.
