Michael ‘Mike’ Lee Sagdal, 68

Michael “Mike” Lee Sagdal, 68, of Osburn, Idaho, passed away June 8, 2018, at Shoshone Medical Center in Kellogg. He was born Oct. 14, 1949, in Kellogg. Mike was the son of Arnold and Arleen (Flagett) Sagdal.

Mike attended and graduated from Wallace High School. He has lived in the Silver Valley and the Coeur d’Alene area all of his life. Mike’s family had owned and operated the Prichard Tavern in Prichard.

Mike proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. While serving in the Navy, Mike served as an aircraft mechanic, he flew C-1, C-2 cargo planes to the Navy ships and was a rifle marksman. Mike also raced motorcycles and played baseball for the Navy, receiving many awards. Mike was a logger for most of his life and also a heavy equipment operator.

Mike loved and enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and golfing; he loved the outdoors.

Mike is survived by one daughter, Anna (Mark) Berger of Silverton, Idaho; one granddaughter, Aby Berger of Silverton; his companion, Cindy Zupan of Osburn; two stepdaughters, Haley and Jessica; and one sister, Janet Busvek of Tennessee. Mike was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of Mike’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018, at the Prichard/Murray Fire Hall; this will be a potluck and everyone is welcome.
