Goldie Mae Boler

Goldie Mae Boler, a 20 year resident of Loon Lake, WA passed away on June 22, 2018, at St. Joe’s Hospital in Chewelah, WA. Goldie was born January 22, 1937 in Carter County, KY the daughter of Gobel Bowling and Dollie Wells.

Goldie was raised in Cashmere, WA where she attended school at the Monitor High School. During her time in school, she met the love of her life Noble Boler. After getting her GED, Goldie worked numerous places, such as Barneys Grocery Store, The Bunker Hill Mine, and Hewitt Packard in Post Falls, ID. Goldie and Noble were married December 7, 1952 in Wenatchee, WA. Shortly after, they welcomed their first child Debbie. Following Debbie, they were blessed with three more children, Mike, Bryant, and Kenny. Goldie spent a great deal of time being a homemaker and raising their four children.

In 1998 Goldie moved to Loon Lake, WA after the death of her husband Noble, on July 10th, 1993. She retired from Hewitt Packard and started working part time at the Loon Lake Postal Service doing janitorial work. Goldie retired fully at the age of 75.

Goldie was soft spoken, yet had a feisty flare that brought excitement into the lives of her family. She loved her family, especially her sisters that she bonded with greatly. She had a special place in her heart for animals. She had animals of her own, including a dog named Max, and a cat named Starry. Goldie loved the outdoors and spending time with her family.

Goldie was preceded in death by her husband Noble, parents Gobel and Dollie Bowling, her three brothers, Hershal, Louie, and Leslie, and her three sisters Loullea, Ruby, and Irene.

Goldie is survived by her sister Jessie Nelson of Loon Lake, WA, her four children, Mike Boler of Smeltervile, ID, Bryant Boler of Loon Lake, WA, Kenny (Melissa) Boler of Big Creek, ID, and Debbie (Craig) Mann of Pine Creek, ID, her 6 grandchildren Jason, Jeremy, Michelle, Danny, Tyler, and Kayle, her many great grandchildren, and her many nieces and nephews.
