HeartSaver CPR/AED/First Aid (CPR will be Adult, child and infant) from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (CPR) and 1-3:45 p.m. (first aid) at SMC’s Community Outreach Center, 9 Country Club Lane, Pinehurst. You may choose to attend just the CPR portion or just the First Aid portion, but must be signed up as there is limited space per instructor. Smelterville Lions Club meeting at 7:15 p.m. at 301 W. Main St., Smelterville. Event reoccurs the first and third Tuesdays of every month.
U.S. Militia Northern Command meeting at 6 p.m. in the Brooks Hotel Restaurant, 55 Cedar St., Wallace.
Shoshone County Airport EPA open house from 5-7 p.m. at the airport office, 926 Airport Road, Smelterville. The event will be an open format; no presentation will be given. Preferred alternative displays will be available for viewing and public comments are encouraged. The county is conducting an environmental assessment to review proposed developments to acquire land for airport development; acquire land for runway protection zones; and construct aprons, taxiway, roads and hangars as part of the west side development. Airport staff and consultants will be available to answer any questions.
