Judith ‘Judy’ (Hood) Kaddoura, 58

Judith “Judy” (Hood) Kaddoura, of Federal Way, Wash., passed away Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, at the age of 58.

Judy is survived by her children, daughter Jessica Millspaugh (Nathan) and son Charlie Carlisle (Michelle); her grandchildren, Thai Hood, Blake McSpadden, William Millspaugh, Isabella McSpadden, Wyntir Millspaugh, Alexus Kelley and Andrew Carlisle; her great-grandchildren, Kaida Pack, Kylo Ren Hood and Rylor Millspaugh; siblings Millie Lahrman, Bob Hood, Rose Ciechanowski (Guy), Bill Hood and Ron Hood (LouAnne), 18 nieces and nephews, numerous great-nieces and nephews; and her former spouses, Michael Carlisle and Yousif Kaddoura. She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Jeremy McSpadden Jr.

Judy was born in Wallace, Idaho, on Sept. 20, 1959, to Murl Hood and Helen (Johnston) Hood. Judy was a graduate of Spokane Falls Community College after which she began a career as a Sign Language Interpreter for the deaf and hard of hearing. Judy was a member of Washington State Registry of Interpreters of the Deaf (WSRID) and Children of Deaf Adults (CODA). She was a respected interpreter and was incredibly proud to be a part of the deaf community.

Judy’s pride was her family. Everyone she met would hear stories and see pictures of her children and grandchildren. She had a strong and loving bond with her siblings and her many nieces and nephews. She loved her friends and considered them an extension of her family. She welcomed everyone in to her circle. Judy had an amazing sense of humor, a bright smile, and loved telling stories and making everyone laugh.

A celebration of life will be held for Judy at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018, at St. Philomena Catholic Church, 1790 S. 222nd St., Des Moines, WA 98198.
