Marie (Kenney) Albrecht, 62
Marie (Kenney) Albrecht, 62 passed away February 28, 2018 at Kootenai Medical Center. Marie was born October 30th 1955 to Dorothy (Kenney) Duff and Ernest Kenney in Georgia.
Marie devoted her time as owner and operator of the Sundown Saloon. Over the years she has become friends with a lot of her patrons at the Sundown Saloon. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
Marie graduated Kellogg High School in 1974. She married Rod Spurway in Lake Tahoe they had 4 children. Chad Spurway (Kristie) from Gig Harbor, WA. Brandon Spurway from Gillette, WY. Trevor Spurway from Post Falls, ID. Chantelle Spurway from Post Falls, ID. Marie and Rod later divorced and then she married Mark Albrecht. Marie and Mark lived in Post Falls, ID. Her heart belonged to her children and grandchildren Ashdyn and Dakota. They were the light of her life, they loved their nana. Marie leaves behind her husband, children, sister Becky Lynch (John Lynch) of Athol, ID and numerous nieces and nephews. Marie was preceded in death by her parents and sister Gail Hart.
Anyone who met her knew that she was one of a kind. She was beautiful inside and out. Her smile would brighten the day of anyone in her presence, and her laugh was enchanting, but most of all, she had the ability to lift the spirits of any individual around. She had a heart of pure gold. Her actions always had the best intensions for others. Marie was a person you could confide with your deepest secrets, a person you could rely on to listen with compassion and understanding in a time of uncertainty, but always provide honest, and helpful advice. The advice you need; the advice of a true friend. She was devoted to her work, but that devotion was never to the job itself. She loved the people, she loved the heritage of the Sundown Saloon, and she dedicated the majority of her life to ensure the customers, the business, and most of all, those she considered friends, if not family, were always taken care of. She ensured they would always have a place to go. She loved the time she got to spend with her loving and caring sister Becky. Whether it was just hanging out, or going on priceless shopping trips. They were always smiling and laughing no matter the occasion. When you picture the best grandma in the world, she defined that. Her love for her grandchildren cannot be surpassed. Her affection, devotion and compassion to these children was always apparent to anyone she met, and she cherished her role of being a part of their life. She had so much love to give to everyone around her.
There will be a celebration of life held at The Meadbrook Hall, 8088 W Meadowbrook Loop, Coeur d’Alene, ID on April 7th at 1pm. It will be a potluck and we created an email for any questions.
