KPD Roll Call March 6-13

•Patrolled Kellogg and Wardner.

•Assisted K72 with an intoxicated male at Best Shots. Cleared agency assist.

•Stopped a male on a bicycle, no lights and all black clothing at night. After speaking he realized it’s not safe. Clear verbal.

•While patrolling saw two suspicious vehicles I recognized from various places around the city. After playing some hide and seek, K76 was able to find both vehicles parked.

•Physical domestic in progress at the Fair Bridge. After investigating nothing criminal occurred however while speaking with one of the parties the female had a medical event, medical was called and checked her out, she was code 4- Cleared NAT.

•Just an FYI: NAT = Necessary Action Taken, Code 4 = All is ok, No Problems, ATL = Attempt to Locate, UTL = Unable to Locate, LE = Law Enforcement, and 8004 = Possible drunk driver.

•Foot patrol at Kellogg Middle School.

•Towed a vehicle on a lot located on W. Mullan & Hill St. for blocking access to a vehicle.

•Handled a question via telephone regarding a civil standby.

•Out enjoying the sun.

•Welfare check 100 block E Portland. Female subject was code 4.

•Traffic stop on S Division into Best Shots parking lot for white light to the rear. Cleared verbal.

•Citizen contact 100 block of W Mill St. for expired registration on his vehicle. Cleared public assist.

•Traffic stop on riverside and Cameron for one tail light. Cleared verbal.

•Dispatched to Dirty Ernie’s about an intoxicated male going in and out of the bar stumbling everywhere. Found a subject matching THE EXACT description only to find out later that it was a different person that they were calling in about. Long story short, the person K72 contacted was just walking home with a friend. Cleared unfounded.

•Dispatched to Best Shots for that same intoxicated male subject again. This time K72 found him crossing Railroad. Placed male subject on a detox hold as his plans were to sleep outside as he was trying to get to Alaska. Cleared public assist.

•ATL on a possible 8004 driver going west on Silver Valley Rd so I set up on 100 block of E Cameron catch them coming into town only to find out they never left the residence. Cleared N.A.T.

•Released a dog from the pound.

•Administrative work with K71- ran info to court house.

•LE Meeting.

•VIN inspection at KPD.

•Handled same civil issue as K77 (this is the one I had last weekend, so I was familiar).

•Parking issue on Division/Riverside- should be taken care of this evening.

•Attempted to move the giant dumpster on Main near Portland as it was partially in one lane of travel. No joy with the ice block preventing it from being moved closer to sidewalk. Will inform road crew tomorrow as nobody was here when K74 attempted. Pushed it out of the road as best as possible. Has wheels but they don’t play nice in the slush on top of the ice.

•Landline request regarding possible civil stand-by. Was not needed.

•Unwanted subject at Silver Mtn. Cleared subject removed from property.

•One of the street lights on Main St. was hit and knocked over. Sent email to K71 so he could make the street crew aware in the morning.

•Patrolled Kellogg and Wardner.

•Traffic Stop in the trail motel parking lot with no plates. Clear verbal, had Idaho temp.

•County assist with a fight at the O.C. that involved a firearm. Cleared other agency assist.

•Went from the O.C. to Silver Mountain to assist K72 with an unwanted subject. Cleared agency assist.

•Called to a suspicious vehicle near the Amy Lynn’s. Upon arrival there was only a driver in the car. While going around the block to contact the vehicle, I saw flashlights inside of a residence (200 block of E Portland) I waited for cover before contacting. The house was not being burglarized, the kid was sneaking around in the house and didn’t want to wake the parents as he was apparently doing something he wasn’t supposed to do. The occupant had left said vehicle and turned into a ghost. Cleared N.A.T.

•Paper work for phone search.

•Recovered a dead animal (Cat) from the street at the corner of W. Mission and Helen St.

•Took evidence to Post Falls.

•Landline request regarding possible warrant. Landline made, will keep an eye out.

•Found property turned in to Kellogg City Hall- attempted contact with owner without success.

•Dog escaped from the pound- unable to locate when searching. Later in the day someone notified K77 that it had been located and returned to the pound. K77 notified county as this is a county dog (owners were initially planning on bailing the dog out prior to the escape).

•Assist county with suspicious odor 200 block of E. Cameron. I believe it was coming from the coffee roasters- Unfounded.

•Business alarm 200 block of W. Cameron- employee error/false alarm. Building was still checked while employee on-scene.

•V.I.N. inspection at City Hall.

•Traffic stop on 400 block S Division for no turn signal. Cleared had expired license, but subject was getting ready to take the test so K72 gave her a warning.

•ATL on a truck/trailer but was UTL. Cleared other agency assist (Shoshone County SO).

•Assist K76 with a traffic stop on Jacobs Gulch Rd. near KHS for running stop sign. Cleared agency assist.

•Report of a reckless driver/possibly 8004 on the freeway, after plate was run and driver was spoken to at his residence- K72 and K76 cleared non-8004.

•Traffic stop in the Fair Bridge parking lot for no plates. Had plates but didn’t put them on- cleared verbal.

•K76 had issue with body cam but it eventually sorted itself out.

•Mobile patrols of Kellogg and Wardner.

•Traffic stop Commerce/Airport in Smelterville (offense 800 block of Bunker Ave)- cite and release an adult male for DWP/Insurance. Verbal warning given for expired registration & fail to register vehicle.

•Traffic stop Bunker/Hill- verbal warning for speed on Railroad and seat belt use x2.

•Written warning for parking on Main in Wardner 400 block. It was obvious they had not been there for too long, as there was no frost on the vehicle (when it was cold and every vehicle was frosted).

•Agency assist at Jim’s Towing in Pinehurst. Subject that was arrested previous evening for unlawful entry was back and being held at gunpoint. Upon arrival, ISP, County and PPD were already there. I went believing only one person was there as radio service was not readable. Cleared upon arrival.

•Suspicious vehicle McKinley & Galena Ridge (just west). It was not suspicious - vehicle broke down. While trying to contact owner, they arrived and moved it off the road. Provided traffic control so they could get the vehicle off the road.

•Called to SMC for combative patient. 78-year-old male throwing furniture around and just not being very nice to the nursing staff. K75 found out what “old man strength” is, but was eventually able to get the patient to calm down. Cleared peace restored/ other agency assist.

•Called to SMC again for same reason, patient actually fell asleep for the remainder of the morning.

•Patrolled Kellogg and Wardner.

•Kirk Cousins? I’m not sold. I remember the Hershel Walker Deal words from my Dad. When I told him that I too remember that deal he said “Ya I know your almost as old as I am.”

•Bar check at Noah’s cleared peace restored.

•Citizen contact at intersection of Mission and N. Division for bicycle riding without a lamp at night.

•Citizen contact on Cameron Ave, intoxicated male. K75 provided him a ride to where he was staying for the night.

•Business Alarm 100 block of W. Cameron- Sunnyside Drug. Located a culprit inside the building attempting to escape (it was a trapped bird). The bird was removed from the building and it was checked for any accomplices (none were found at this time).

•No contact order violation taking place 400 block of Bunker Ave. After confirming the NCO was still in effect, one male was taken into custody for violation of no Contact order without incident. Subject was transported and booked.

•Finished reports.

•VIN inspection 400 block of W. Mullan.

•Attempt to locate subject that walked away from SMC. Initially told subject is on a hold. After speaking with SMC, there was no hold in place at the moment. Notified to put out an ATL for welfare check if contacted.

•Assist K74 with a person that had left SMC. He was later found to be code 4.

•Assist county in Pinehurst for a disturbance that involved several people. Cleared assist.

•Patrolled in the sun.

•Called to a theft call at the Bunker Apts. Cleared civil.

•Traffic stop on Hill St. Cleared verbal warning.

•Assisted County & State on a vehicle pursuit. Assisted people with flat tires.

•Attempted to locate a dog at large on Bunker Ave. I was unable to locate the dog.

•Called to Sunnyside Drug for active motion alarm. Hook from the wall broke or more birds not sure. Cleared building secured.

•Traffic stop on Hill St. next to the basketball courts for no front license plate. Cleared verbal.

•Traffic stop on 200 block W Cameron Ave. for speeding. Cleared verbal.

•Business checks at Dirty Ernie’s, Cameron Conoco, Morning Star Lodge.
