Kudos to playground improvement volunteers

| May 3, 2018 5:13 PM

The Silver Valley proved to me once again what a generous, caring community they are. Numerous folks and businesses have been involved in improving the playground and building at PES.

The project started when Emilee Kulin approached me with the idea and offered to run with it. Run with it she did! The list in the thank you shows the support she was able to round up. The improvements have been amazing and there’s more to come.

The volunteers will be back on the 12th to do more painting, striping, repairs and cleanup (anyone is welcome to help). The whole project has been special in my mind for two reasons. The first is because of it Pinehurst Elementary School is a better place for students to go to school. The second is as important if not more important. We are the public’s school.

It was great to see the public, the community, come together and make this happen. I appreciate all the support that needed to occur to make your school a better place. Thank you to everyone involved.
