Margaret M. Larson Roberts, 88

Margaret M. Larson Roberts, age 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 1, 2018

at Pacifica Assisted Living in Pinehurst, Idaho. Margaret was born on June 10, 1929, in Lake City, Minnesota, to Hjalmar and Delia Larson, and was the youngest of seven children. In 1947 the Larson family moved to Southern California, where Marge graduated from Franklin High School in Los Angeles. At the age of 18, on October 15, 1947 she married Charles D. Roberts Jr. Together they created a beautiful life while raising four children. In 1982 they made the big move to North Idaho and bought a house up the West Fork of Pine Creek (purchased solely on Charles’ interest in the large garage). Over the years in the Silver Valley, Marge was an active member of the Silver Valley Art & Crafts Association, she became President of the Association and coordinated the annual fall craft fair at Silver Hills for 10 years. She also enjoyed spoiling her grandkids, stamping beautiful cards, crocheting, winning blue ribbons at the Huckleberry Festival and Depot Days for her amazing huckleberry desserts, perfecting nectar for her hummingbirds, and collecting a ridiculous number of cookbooks.

She is preceded in death by her parents Hjalmar and Delia, husband Charles (1992), her siblings; Warren (Ada), Vernon (Norma), Carl (Rosa), Donald, Eleanor (Harry), and Esther (Frank). Daughter Stephanie Walker, son Michael Roberts, and granddaughter Wendy Roberts.

She is survived by her son, Chuck (Laurie) Roberts, daughter Dee Woo. Grandchildren; Darrelle Woo, Bill (Shauna) Dreiling, Mike (Annie) Dreiling, James Woo, Darrick Woo, April (Alex) Kapanui, Danielle Woo (Cameron Erickson), Charlie Roberts and Carrie Roberts. Great grandchildren; Jessica Dreiling, Michael Dreiling, Alex Kapanui IV, and Timmy Kapanui. One great-great grandchild, Tyse Dreiling-Sorgent. Also, sister-in-law Rosa Larson, daughter-in-law Sue Roberts, son-in-law John Walker, and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held, June 10th from 1pm to 3pm in the courtyard of Pacifica Senior Living, 208 S. Division St., Pinehurst, Idaho. In honor of her loved ones that have passed from ALS, Marge wanted any memorial donations to be made to The ALS Association Gift Processing Center , PO Box 37022, Boone, IA 50037-0022.
