| May 17, 2018 1:26 PM

Douglas “Doug” Wayne McPeters, 56, of Silverton, Idaho, passed away May 15, 2018 at the family home of Silverton. He was born February 18, 1961 in Seattle, Washington; Doug was the son of Wanda (Wolfgram) Ricksecker and Roland McPeters.

Doug served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. After being honorably discharged Doug was a friendly smile as a long-time bartender at Albi’s Bar, and a plumber’s assistant for Bell Plumbing. Doug was a long-time resident of the Silver Valley, and enjoyed the outdoors. When he wasn’t helping others, he was hunting and fishing, or could be found painting, wood burning and creating art. Doug was the kind of man who was self-sacrificing in order to help others and ensure that their needs were met and their well-being was protected.

Doug is survived by his father Roland McPeters (Deb McPeters) and two brothers Steven McPeters and Gregg McPeters. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Doug was preceded in death by his mother Wanda Ricksecker (William Ricksecker) and sister Kimberly (McPeters) Wright.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday May 22, 2018 at 11:00A.M. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel of Kellogg, Idaho with Pastor Gene Jacobs Officiating. Following services a potluck reception will be held (place to be announced).
