Pilot walks away from state line plane crash

LOOKOUT PASS – A small experimental airplane crashed on Interstate 90 at Lookout Pass on Tuesday afternoon near the Idaho/Montana border. The pilot appeared to be OK and walked away from the crash. He was taken to Mineral County Hospital.

Mineral County Sheriff’s and Montana Highway Patrol responded to the incident where the eastbound lane of the highway was closed until around 6 p.m. The plane was moved to Haugan and a federal investigator will investigate the crash. No vehicles were involved with the crash and no other injuries have been reported.
