Vote for new playground equipment!
PINEHURST — Kiwanis International & Landscape Structures have teamed up to give one deserving Kiwanis club/community $25,000 in playground equipment.
The annual “Legacy of Play Contest” celebrates their belief that investing in the community through projects such as these is important and rewarding for communities.
For the the past few months, Emilee Kulin and several other community members have been working diligently to revitalize the Pinehurst Elementary School playground.
Through organizing several group work days, as well as individual efforts, the playground has started to look like a place kids want to be instead of one they have to be at.
The caveat with the Kiwanis contest is that it is the local community’s responsibility to go and vote for their respective school.
“We need votes daily until May 31,” Kulin said. “The top 10 move on to be selected by panel of judges and if we make that we have the opportunity to shine. Please invite your Facebook friends, family and colleagues to vote for our playground proposal.”
Voting is very simple. For those on Facebook, just visit the Pinehurst Playground Project Facebook page and there will be a link at the top that brings you right to the voting page.
For those folks not on Facebook, you only need to follow the link here (wyng.com/campaign/832916/entry/7562894) and it will bring you to the voting page.
Voters are encouraged to vote as many times as they can (once every 24 hours).
