Reminder: JROTC to conduct Memorial Day services

On Memorial Day, May 28, JROTC cadets and representatives of the American Legion and VFW will be conducting memorial services at a number of Silver Valley cemeteries.

The Cemetery Visit Schedule is as follows:

9 a.m. Gene Day Cemetery, Osburn

9:30 a.m. Good Sam Nursing Home, Silverton

10 a.m. Mullan Cemetery, Mullan

10:30 a.m. Nine Mile Cemetery, Nine Mile Road, Wallace

11:45 p.m. Murray Cemetery, Murray

1 p.m. Hunt/Bisaro Cemetery, Kingston

1:20 p.m. Pinehurst Cemetery, Pinehurst

2 p.m. Greenwood Cemetery, Kellogg

2:30 p.m. End at VFW Hall, Osburn.

All are invited to attend. Roughly a dozen will be participating. For their part, they will be conducting a 21 gun salute.

Veterans and their families are invited to the VFW Hall at 2:30 p.m. for a potluck luncheon following the cemetery visits.
