KPD Roll Call May 22-29
•Given a phone from a citizen the phone was tossed out the window of a “Sketchy Vehicle” driving in front of him. Phone has been reset, so no info on who it belongs to.
•Semi-truck broken down at Railroad and Hill St. Waited till Nickerson’s arrived and cleared public assist.
•Attempted paper service on Upper Third. Was advised by current tenants that she no longer lives there and hasn’t for a good while. Cleared negative contact.
•Mobile patrols of Kellogg and Wardner. Well the streets that you can drive on anyway, so it didn’t take long.
•Harassment/juvenile issues at Amy Lynn’s. Spoke with both parties and advised ignoring one another. Gave information if contact continues, as no crime has been committed at this time. Peace restored.
•Foot patrols and security checks over majority of the city prior to the rain hitting.
•Legal update. Read up on incoming and changing laws.
•Assisted County on a traffic complaint. Cleared other agency assist.
•Traffic stop on Cameron Ave. for improper backing, verbal.
•Traffic stop on McKinley Ave. on dirt bike. Cleared verbal.
•Tagged white car in Cameron Conoco parking lot. Public assist.
•Foot patrol Main, McKinley, Ohio, Mill.
•Theft in progress at 400 block Bunker Ave. Not theft CIVIL only. Cleared civil.
•Request for extra patrol in 200 and 400 block Main St, Wardner.
•LL request regarding threats. Cleared public assist.
•Responded to a battery on the 100 block of Presley Ave. between two brothers (again). After conducting an investigation, one brother was arrested and transported to jail.
•Dispatched to 100 Block of West Mission Ave. for a welfare check on a possible suicidal juvenile. Upon contact, juvenile claimed not to be suicidal. Juvenile was transported home in Page by a County unit and updated family members of the situation.
•Mobile patrols of Kellogg and Wardner.
•Suspicious person at Silver Mountain. Eventually contacted subject and trespassed him from Silver, per their request. After gathering the story (got off the bus on the wrong stop) advised Silver he may be back in the area to check out getting on another bus. No crime was committed, had just been hanging in the area for 2 days (understandable, as that is where the bus stop is located).
•Barking dog complaint 100 block of W. Mission. Contacted owners of dogs and they were put inside. Copy of city ordinance was given so they have a better understanding of “nuisance/annoying animal” per the ordinance. Peace restored, as there were other dogs barking several blocks over as well.
•Tried to drive to City Hall. Was told can’t get there from here.
•Juvenile issues 100 block of W. Mission. Juvenile was turned over to county to be returned home (not out past curfew as originally thought) and there may be potential thoughts of suicide. Referred to parent/guardian for remedy.
•Fire alarm at Dirty Ernie’s. Unknown issue and false alarm.
•Conducted a building check on the Gondolier. While checking on the building, I observed a broken glass door and a male inside the store. Male was arrested for burglary, malicious injury to property and petit theft.
•Burglary in progress caught by K77. 800 block of W. Cameron. K74 handled photos and transport/booking.
•Traffic stop Main St. Wardner. Infraction citation issued.
•Follow up on reports.
•Citizen contact up Vergobbi Gulch. Cleared public assist.
•VIN inspection. Cleared public assist.
•Foot patrol at the Community Center, Main St, Track & Field off Bunker Ave. and City Park.
•Assisted K74 with a possible verbal/physical confrontation between two individuals on the 700 block of S. Division. After conducting an investigation, call was cleared unfounded.
•Dispatched to a suspicious vehicle on the 300 block of Main, Wardner. Located the vehicle and discovered the individual was looking for his friend’s dogs.
•Observed an open trunk on a vehicle on the 500 block of West Mission Ave. Attempted to make contact with the residence, but was unsuccessful. Ended up closing the trunk on the vehicle.
•Mobile patrols of Kellogg and Wardner.
•Follow-up on reports/investigations/assists. Continued assisting where needed.
•Suspicious vehicle 300 block of Main in Wardner. K77 located said vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Reportedly going up and down the road non-stop (said they were looking for a lost dog). Unfounded for suspicious activity.
•Traffic stop McKinley and W. Park for vehicle using blue lights (that’s a no-no folks). Verbal warning given, as they need to remove the wires for the lights.
•Landline request regarding possible domestic. After contacting both parties, no crime was committed. Information report created for documentation.
•Foot patrols at various locations in the city.
•Citizen contact per K74’s request regarding open trunk. All was code 4 cleared public assist.
•Vehicle I tagged at Cameron Conoco has been removed.
•Patrolled Kellogg and Wardner.
•Attempted paper service 600 block Upper 3rd. Cleared negative contact.
•Possible CPO (no contact order) violation. Event occurred on I-90 outside Kellogg jurisdiction. I was unable to locate suspect vehicle. Cleared public assist. Relayed information to ISP as victim passed through to Spokane.
•Theft at 200 block E Riverside Ave. Cleared report taken.
•Civil paper service. After tracking down and going through two cities, paper was served.
•Landline request regarding removing someone from a residence (they live there). Civil issue and referred to eviction process.
•Juvenile issues 100 block of W. Mission as well as city park. Report taken and further follow-up needed for drug investigation. Infraction issued for tobacco issue. Initial remarks entered into the report, but report not yet completed.
•Contact requested at Stein’s regarding issuance of trespass notice and possible shoplifting. K72 handled this call as K74 was tied up on the other calls.
•Dispatched to Steins Grocery to trespass three juvenile males. Juveniles were eventually located and advised they were trespassed from Steins.
•Dispatched to Silver Mountain Resort for report of damage to persons vehicle. Cleared report taken.
•Dispatched to the hillside next to SMC for a someone with a flashlight wondering around over there. Cleared unfounded.
•Called to fire station for report of juvenile finding backpack with stolen items. Cleared unfounded.
•VIN inspection 100 block of W Riverside. Cleared public assist.
•Dispatched to 400 block of Railroad for disturbing the peace. RP said he believes a truck and a car were revving up their engines and yelling. Located subjects and warned to not be revving up engines and loitering around the park at night. Cleared verbal.
•Dispatched to a vehicle driving with no lights on at night from 100 block of W Mission. Cleared unable to locate (UTL).
•Called to city park for Kids skateboarding in the empty pool. They were gone upon arrival-cleared necessary action taken (NAT).
•Called to the Casa De Oro parking lot for a dog in a truck with the windows up. The owners were leaving when I arrived. Cleared NAT.
•Traffic stop in front of Casa De Oro for one headlight. Cleared verbal.
•Traffic stop in front of Silverhorn Motor Inn for one headlight. Cleared verbal.
•Traffic stop on S Division by US Bank for no tail lights. Cleared verbal.
•Dispatched to 300 block of Emerald Ave. for welfare check. Subject was code 4. Cleared public assist.
•Dispatched to 500 block of Bunker Ave. for a female subject wanting to report her being assaulted. After speaking with the RP. she did not want to pursue charges since she was partly at fault for the incident. Cleared public assist.
•Made contact with some juveniles riding at multiple location in the city and made them walk their motorcycles home.
•Dispatched to IGA for an unwanted subject (transient). Subject was gone on arrival, but later located him near The Gondolier. Individual was later trespassed from the Gondolier at their request.
•Called to Main St. Wardner for a vehicle dragging a bed liner full of material down Main St. Made contact with the individual and educated him on the rules of the road.
•Responded to the 400 block of Brown for an animal complaint. After speaking with both parties, the victim did not want to press any charges.
•Vehicle accident at the Cameron Conoco (Non-Injury). Report was taken.
•Called to the 300 block of Kellogg Ave. for marijuana growing on someone’s front porch. After looking into the matter, I discover the plant growing was not a marijuana plant.
•Returned a purse that was turned in as lost and found.
•Firearms training. Thinking all the hours playing Fork knife is paying off (not really).
•Dispatched to 100 block of Mullan Ave. for a fight that had occurred between relatives. Upon arrival it was determined that this happened earlier and parties were fine at this point. Cleared unfounded.
