Thomas “Tommy” Gordon Valley, 66, of Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away on Nov. 3, 2018. He is survived by his sister, Joanne Hedge of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; his three children, Jenny (Keith) Ketola of Columbus, Mont., Josh (Holly) Valley of Spokane, Wash. and Justin (Amber) Valley of Osburn, Idaho; nine grandchildren, Brock, Skyler, Seth, Kali, Riley, Mason, Danica, Alana, Korbin and Gordon; three nieces, Laura Kees (Hedge), Teresa McCullough (Hedge) and Angie Lion (McCumber) and two nephews, Scott Hedge and Andrew Valley; along with many great nieces and nephews.

Gold Center Road #301 and Fishhook Tunnel reopened

ST. MAREIS – The St. Joe Ranger District has rescinded the closure for the Fishhook - Gold Center Road #301 and the historic Fishhook Tunnel. The road and tunnel had been closed to repair rock fall hazards in the tunnel that were identified in a safety inspection.

On September 29, 1918, a baby boy was born to George J. Jensen and Mary Clarkson Jensen; Carl T. entered this world at 12:05 am in Boise, Idaho, at St. Alphonsus Hospital. We have to think that it was a beautiful, fall day with brilliant colors of red, yellow, orange and brown. Carl was named after his Uncle Carl and took Theodore as his middle name after President Roosevelt. The family resided in Jerusalem Valley, Idaho. He lost an older brother early on but was joined in later years by his brothers John, Donald, Edgar, Vern, and his sisters, Elinor and Margit. The family was raised in a conservative, Lutheran home and learned early on that respect, integrity and consideration of others was of utmost importance. They were a wonderful family unit!
