WALLACE — The Sixth Street Theatre is excited to announce the full lineup for their 36th season of operation.

As the cool fall air begins to slow down things in Shoshone County, things really start to heat up inside the historic melodrama in downtown Wallace.

Starring local actors and presented by local directors, each play is a unique and fun experience for everyone involved.

Sixth Street regulars Ken Bartle and Paul Roberts will kick things off in November with the musical comedy “Guys On Ice,” a story of two friends who spend a day in an ice-fishing shack.

Directed by Cherri Bartle, this production runs Nov. 2-18, with performances Friday and Saturday nights at 7 p.m. and Sunday afternoons at 2 p.m.

In December, the theater turns its attentions to the holidays and will once again produce “Christmas at Sixth Street” during the Wallace Yuletide Lighting Festival.

Sean Shelley with Sixth Street described the production as, “The musical holiday celebration so merry that it’s sure to make the Grinch’s heart grow three sizes.”

Directed by Norma Douglas, “Christmas at Sixth Street” will run Friday, Dec. 7, at 7 p.m. and also Saturday, Dec. 8 and Sunday, Dec. 9 at 2 p.m.

For the final production of the season, Sixth Street will be presenting a 1950s and 1960s-themed play, “The Big Be-Bop Bandstand Amateur Night Talent Show.”

This play will feature many beloved classics from the ’50s and ’60s and also feature various locals sharing their talents such as singing, juggling and other variety acts on-stage.

This play is written by Sean Shelley and will be co-directed by Shelley and Terri Asher Robinson.

Opening on Friday, March 1 and running through Sunday, March 17, 2019, performances will be Friday and Saturday nights at 7 p.m. and Sunday afternoons at 2 p.m.
