It took us a few days to gather our thoughts and find the right words to thank this community for their support. We never thought we would be on the receiving end of such generosity.

A letter had gone out earlier thanking all the businesses who donated to the benefit on our behalf. Thank you again. However, we noticed there were a few that were inadvertently left out.

First of all, thank you to Candyce Gilmore who owns and operates Mom’s Vintage Eatery in Osburn. I stopped in on the day of the benefit and was able to speak with her briefly. It was the middle of her lunch rush and there she was, preparing meals for her customers on top of cooking for our benefit. Anyone who knows Candy, knows she has a huge giving heart. She reaches out to help our community wherever possible. It’s an honor and a blessing to have her in our midst.

Secondly, thank you to KWAL for advertising the benefit at no charge. We will miss your broadcasts.

Lastly, thank you to the Shoshone News-Press and reporter Josh McDonald for the care and kindness you showed in your article.

It’s a blessing to live in such a caring community.
